The genre. Does it go on to Winglord and Arcana? Then it's not metal. Postmetal isn't metal either. Is it dead?

Metalheads. Do we go on too? Do we "grow out" of metal or do we just listen to Iron Maiden as our beards grow white?

Up the Irons till death, certainly.  Metal matures with people, and the result (when it's good) is stuff like Summoning, Graveland, etc. - less fury, more power.
