Amish Black Metal? Cowboy Black Metal? This thread is ridiculous. There is nothing inherently romantic about any culture. Only your will is romantic, mysterious, and mystical.

well of course Amish metal wouldn't make sense, they refuse anything they see as being to modern or to make life to much of a luxury, how would they record there music, or produce, how would they even get into it in the first place, that and they are all orthodox Christians

i don't see anything wrong with singing songs about cowboys, to be a cowboy in the old west would have been an incredible romantic thing, not only as a thought but practically as well, but as i mentioned before native American's would make much more interesting topics, perhaps even the equal of the Norse

I would be interested in Native American Metal, but I don't see it happening.

what about metal music for other indigenous people then, European heritage has already been covered, after all ive read many Norse myths and had a good look at there pantheon and it looks a lot like the indigenous people of New Zealand, the Maori's, whom i am from my mothers side (im Celtic from my farther).

these people had similar struggles with the Europeans that the Norse had (and the Americans and every other none European country), and there view on life and there beliefs echo that of the eastern pagan religions

I think something in the vein of like Vlad Tepes and Absurd would be a good starting point for a folk-influenced American Black Metal. You know, a blackened hardcore band with folkish melodies and what not.

Put a bunch of those wills together and not only do they make a great civilization, but inherently romantic views get adopted by the culture. Isn't that what happened in ancient Greece (besides what happened with the men and the boys after nightfall)?

Hhmmmmmmm.......maybe it can happen.

You know what I'd enjoy seeing?  A Black black metal band.   That would be SO WEIRD!!!!!!! There are only a handful of black guys in metal.  Imagine a Black black metal band.  That'll be something.

Black Goat
NME
Judas Iscariot
GBK
Demoncy
Absu
Averse Sefira
Yamatu
Krieg/Weltmacht

If this is the American sound, let me out. All of these blow ass except Demoncy and Averse Sefira. Krieg is like Onslaught without the good, and Judas Iscariot is like Burzum made by a mongoloid mulatto.

I'm absolutely sure someone must have tried it.  I don't know why Afri-cans would be interested in Black Metal, although I don't know why Christians would be interested in any metal all, but it's happened.

Isn't this the same question as "could Maoris have a National Socialist movement"? Yes, of course. But someone must create it. You?

Black Metal is a genre that focuses greatly on misanthropic themes. Recalling our history would be like a gold mine. Subjects could include war (Civil War, Vietnam, Revolutionary, Iraq) anti-religion (Salem witch trials) oppression (Native Americans, Slavery) and so on and so forth. You can have anti-government and anti-capitalist ideas in your music seeing as how many people feel this way through out history. I guess in America patriotic black metal would really question our government. I mean we were created out of succession.
