It seems Varg is enjoying the attention he is getting, contrary to his writings after being released.

I wondered for a moment, there, if you were talking about Goldilocks and the ThreeBears.

This is one of the best videos I've seen in a while. I wouldn't even call it a trailer, since the song is so enticing. It's very artistic for a trailer.

Thanks again for bringing innocent laughter to my day!

But I can't say I won't be very curious to watch this. Varg was pretty much the reason Until the Light Takes Us was so captivating. At this point he could do a lot better pursuing documentaries/writing than to continue with his current musical direction.

On an aesthetic, artistic level, it seems great, especially for a low budget movie. I think it will be better on the artistic side than on the documentary, theoretical side, but who knows?

This bizarro "we are 99% Neanderthal" theory is something Varg has brought up before, and I'm not quite sure what to make of that. That being said, I'll watch this movie of his mostly for the aesthetic value and sheer curiosity.

(I agree with the one who said Varg Vikernes was the reason why Until The Light Takes Us was an interesting watch.)

Has anyone gotten ahold of this yet? Apparently it contains part of his new album as the soundtrack.

This bizarro "we are 99% Neanderthal" theory

Reading between the PC lines of published research, this isn't as implausible as one might think.  Certainly, modern Europeans are closer to Neanderthals than to Sapiens, directly inheriting up to four times as much genetic material from the former.  That's the part that is never mentioned in newspapers etc.

As far as I'm aware Neanderthal admixture is 1% to 4% for non-africans and Denisovan admixture 1% to 6% for Melanesians. Closer to Neanderthals than Sapiens? Where is that coming from?

That European populations derive less than 1% of their genetic material directly from sapiens, compared to that big 1-4% from neanderthalensis (they rarely mention in the media that they're talking about direct inheritance, not shared DNA).

Not metal, but better than anything he's put out since the '90s.

Wow, this is... nothing. Again. He probably made compositions better than this before his balls descended.

I don't think it is worth paying too much attention to a short clip of what is supposed to be pure soundtrack music.

there's some samples of the new album. They're not long but it sounds promising. You got to love cheesy ambient music, which I do. :)

Seems to be a mixture of the original '90s spirit with the '00s aids. Probably will be better than his last 4 albums, but worse than the others.

Also, that bass is going to get irritating.
