Careful now, they found a bottle of bleach in his basement, meat in his fridge, and a set of kitchen knives.

27 years (with commentors pushing for death penalty) for looking at illegal images seems rather stiff.

Also, the guy in the blue shirt looks so poster boy pedophile its amusing.

Thought crime!

Now we can be penalized for crimes we're *about* to commit. The future is here. Pre-empt those vile motherfuckers!

This shit is so fucking odd. I remember when they nabbed one of Decrepit Birth's guitarists for child porn. I wish people would attempt to explain in bits like these why dudes feel impelled to do this shit (at all, no less) to children.

(It's WORCESTER, no H. Pronounced "Wooster".)

Why? He plead guilty. Did you take issue with the contents of the report?

Of course he plead guilty. The prosecutors had a load of evidence to dump on him otherwise. He was staring down a gun barrel.

The only crime he actually committed was distributing child porn (because conspirating to commit a crime is not committing a crime). And yeah 27 years is a lot of time to serve for that but I can't say it's unfair.

I could probably walk out into the street with a lead pipe, bash someone's brains in, and get less than 30 years in jail for it.

Varg got like 21 years for dicing up Řystein.

They should just slap one of those house arrest GPS anklets on the guy, force him to see a psychologist, and have some software monitor the anklet for suspicious behavior.

Anyone caught with child porn should be executed.

That's an interesting notion, Wild.

Let the record show that I do not disagree necessarily.

But I have a couple questions. Child porn includes porn featuring people under the age of consent (which is 18 in the US). The age of consent differs in other countries though. And, from a biological perspective, some people reach a sexually mature state (able to concieve and bear children) earlier than 18 so it doesn't seem so incorrect to be attracted to someone younger than 18 even if the one attracted to them is considerably older. So do you have another cut-off age in mind when you think of child porn or do you stick with the under-18 limit?

I think of porn featuring children.

We ought to maybe outlaw porn altogether .

Clever. What is a child?

Innocent.

The more we try to define stuff by rigid lines, the more we screw up. Define spirit instead.

Innocent.

We all lose innocence one way or an other.
It,s more of the vulnerability of the children that matters. The way they cope with the lost of innocence.
