Meanwhile, at a college about 3 hours north of my hometown, a student shot and killed an assistant teacher. No one else got shot, just the one guy. Sounds like run of the mill stuff by now.

These events are increasing in frequency as the years go by. They're like toppling dominoes with one likely to prompt the next in order followed by an acceleration effect. It doesn't help when the cause is avoided as too large in scale, too much invested with the present way in favor of reacting to multiple little false causes and then only after the damage.

They say it was just a domestic dispute. Why all the extra theatrics in a public setting when the good old fashioned back hand always settled such disputes? Something much more compelling is going on inside these drama queens when they resort to such vulgar overkill.
