When I'm in the mood for cheesy simplistic synth-pop, I usually look no further than Gary Numan - Living Ornaments 79/80. Live renditions of all the best tracks from his early days, played with more energy and emphasis on synth than the album versions.

Freedom lies in decay.  Letting go to see the truth.  It takes something like a death in the family to really get in touch with the great age and slowness of life.

Very true. I sat, starving, in the desert, waiting for death.
Amid the general decay, I let it all go, only to see The Truth.
One's own death, in the slow advent of its manifestation, does wonders for one's insight.
