History proceeds apace with mass executions

History proceeds apace with mass executions
April 29, 2014, 12:49:36 PM
Our mythical End of History's blood-drowned push for global liberal democracy and human rights has demonstrated quite the opposite. Monday, Egypt had sentenced 683 "Islamist" traditionalist Muslim protestors to death in the largest coming mass execution since perhaps Pol Pot's regime. Totalitarian humanism has got to be the most accurate term for every ideological liberal left atrocity of the modern age.

The authorities were accurately profiling real mischief makers and they did their job by aggressively confronting said malcontents.

I did some light reading and according to hipster liberal publication "Slate" it looks like they are eligible for an appeal which is likely to result in a stay on the executions. In any event, we should all reserve judgement until the event comes to pass or doesn't.

Another example development:

Boko Haram on Monday claimed the abduction of hundreds of schoolgirls in northern Nigeria that has triggered international outrage, threatening to sell them as "slaves".

"I abducted your girls," the Islamist group's leader Abubakar Shekau said in the 57-minute video obtained by AFP, referring to the 276 students kidnapped from their boarding school in Chibok, Borno state, three weeks ago.

1. rise of competing non-state power centers in parallel with the addition of newly or developing democratized nation-states

2. inability of newer democracies to maintain new form of government without ongoing supervision or intervention from sponsoring superpower

3. people don't care for an imposed way of life complete with a sponsor as they would one they built and fought for on their own
