Today's reflection: the minivan-driving fat butterball person and the rangy, stupid and violent ghetto dweller are extensions of the same idea -- that we each deserve to live independent of reality, based on our choice alone. What a pleasant illusion! But after thinking about the effects of its effects (leap over the IQ 120 barrier here) one can see how it's a terrible idea.

Crowdism -- the idea that the individual comes before reality, and groups of individuals can enforce this on others -- came before Christianity. That august religion just redirected "right by others socially" into "right by a symbol of others socially," e.g. morality/hope/God/love. The one bright idea that Christianity did have was forgiveness, which allows mindfulness through loss of resentment. Unfortunately, that's lost in the New Testament, which as written is a giant bundle of resentment. Hail those who are trying to re-make Christianity into a Pagan Zen religion.

I shall celebrate this "Onward To Golgotha" day with my fellow metalheads. Also, I recognize Easter as "Zombie Jesus" day, because it is supposedly the day Jesus was resurrected, officially making him a zombie. Of course, in order to celebrate "Zombie Jesus" day, you must blast nothing but old school death metal throughout the day.

Good luck to them. When the Crowd sees Christ on the Cross, they think of two things:

1. Salvation from death.
2. Moral superiority to others, so increased social status.

The problem with religion is the problem with people. The problem with government is the problem with people. If we don't discipline ourselves (think of Robert Fripp's writings on this score), we become zombies who consume everything in their path.

For background purposes, Easter is the day of resurrection, three days after Christ crucifixtion, which followed his march up mount "Golgotha" bearing his own cross. Easter takes place Sunday, April 11th this year.

Onward to Golgotha. An end to peddling self pity in fear of mortality to easily replaced individuals destined by birth for nothing exemplary. A symbolic end to what is today anthropocentric secular humanism, which desecrates logic by declaring the particular, universal.

An accurate Golgotha day would arise on Thursday the 8th. Instead, Sunday the 4th through Saturday the 10th (first Sunday in April each year), makes a Happy Onward to Golgotha Hessian Festival Week. That would also cover the days of betrayal, flight, conviction, flogging, on to crucifixtion and hanging thereupon in death.
