The long out-of-print classic was apparently reissued last month with very little fanfare, courtesy of Kraze records.

Amazon has it for $11

Nonetheless, a purchase worth considering.

Eric Rutan's legacy before he Lost Direction

Ehhh. It's an interesting listen, but this band doesn't hold it's own next to the majority of it's contemporaries. Reminds me of Human Remains - "innovative" or "original" in the modern sense, but nothing's being said.

I'd rather they reissue Revenant's Prophecies of a Dying World.

I finally got this in the mail today after a month of dillydallying from the douchebag I bought it from.

My initial impressions are overwhelmingly positive. Though there are moments of Azagthoth worship scattered throughout some of the guitar solos, on the whole, I think the record holds up quite well compared to some of the other "B-list" death metal albums from the late 1980s - early 1990s, such as "Imperial Doom," "Consuming Impulse," "Retribution," et al.

I'm anxious to see how well it holds up under repeated scrutiny.
