I've just listened to a little bit of Cryptopsy, and now I wonder -- what about these "Hyperblast" bands that came out of Canada in the early 90s ? Surely there's something here that's yet to come to fruition.

I don't think it will be, since they were actually a revival (1996) of all the Suffocation clones that came out in 1993-1994. They were just a little faster.

Except Cryptopsy is a band that's been in the local scene (Montreal) since 1988, (or was it 89? I don't remember well), under the name of Necrosis, but it wasn't until 1993 that Cryptopsy was born as a band, although they had almost the same line-up as before, but the music was a bit different.
The essence of balance is detachment. To embrace a cause, to grow fond or spiteful, is to lose one's balance, after which, no action can be trusted. Our burden is not for the dependent of spirit.
