I see no need to 'keep it in the family,' other viewpoints can only illuminate, not obscure.  Just recognize that people outside the family will never understand the inner workings as well as those in the family.  

Seriously, is there anyone here who would rather hear Myung-Whun Chung conduct Beethoven or Bruckner than Furtwängler or Karajan?
