I can speak only for Wolves in the Throne Room, Summoning, and Necrophagist.
I enjoyed Two Hunters by WITTR, and would agree wholeheartedly with the previous post on this album by Clef_Burton.
Summoning is exceptional as far as I'm concerned. I have yet to come across anything by them that wasn't good. Each album seems to me to have a slightly different feel, although they share many of the same compositional aspects and the LOTR theme. I would recommend Lugburz and Dol Guldur. Particularly Dol Guldur, the majestic structure of the album was especially intense, and deeply inspiring.
As far as Necrophagist is concerned, they get boring insanely fast, and have absolutely nothing to offer unless you like uninspired shredding. Onset of Putrefaction is by far their best work, but less than 30 seconds of the album felt like it was written with any sort of emotion or feeling at all. While I understand that this is sometimes a deliberate goal of death metal bands, it is boring all the same.
