CULT OF LUNA: New album "Salvation" out today in USA

Swedish noisecore stars Cult Of Luna blew away audiences in the UK with the new material from their critically acclaimed new album "Salvation". Their follow up to "The Beyond" finds the band in a slightly mellower mood, but they havenĀ¹t lost any of that crushing intensity, that is seeing them leading the burgeoning noisecore scene at the moment.

Check out the track "Leave Me Here":

If you live in Sweden then you can catch the band at one of these venues:

Oct 19th (tuesday) SE LINKOPING Skylten
Oct 20th (Wednesday) SE GOTHENBURG Sticky Fingers

"Salvation" is released in the US on 19th October 2004

(Noisecore is noise pop with a few hardcore stylings. This sample at least sounds like a simpler "My Blood Valentine" meets later Neurosis.)

Ugh, I heard one song from their debut; avoid these guys at all costs.

The second album, "The Beyond" has a great start and a couple of other moments, and even if it's not one of my all time favourites, I wouldn't say one should avoid them at all costs.

I haven't heard the first album, so I cannot comment on that.

To Be Remembered is the song I heard, if you want to subject yourself to it.

I have a knee-jerk reaction away from this kind of stuff, but I'll check them out I guess. How do they compare to bands like Neurosis and Isis?

I've actually never heard either of those.
