UNLEASHED are still "fun" live for those who might be wondering, even with their relatively high ratio of marginal to great material.

I was planning on seeing them in any case, since I imagine they have to play some classics like "Shadows in the Deep".

Also, the fact that Obituary AND Possessed are playing the SF show sweetens the deal. I'm not as excited for Obituary and that Christian wanker they have, but who would miss an opportunity to see Possessed?

Where will you be coming from?

Remember, this is only Jeff Beccera backed-up by Sadistic Intent, not a Possessed reunion proper, or any such thing. Still, I caught them in Brooklyn, New York over the summer, and it was an enjoyable show even just with Jeff and "friends!"

I have always had a soft spot for "Where No Life Dwells" and "Shadows in the Deep."

Not sure how much of that material they still play these days, though.

Same deal with Obituary: their first two albums are personal favorites, but the rest of their material ranges from mediocre to embarrassing.

Who knows what will get played, but since the GA date is the first stop on the tour, I suppose it's a risk that has to be taken.

Where will you be coming from?

About an hour and a half northwest, up in Rome, GA.

Last time around (1.5 years ago, and IIRC) they played 4-5 songs from those discs in a 10- or 11-song set, which isn't a bad setup.  True to form, as well.

Really?  I'm up in Asheville, NC, so not too far.  I can't make the Atlanta show, so I'll probably catch 'em in Charlotte in October.

ill be at BB King's in New York City.

I saw "Possessed" there, and that was quite the treat. Sadistic Intent is simply crushing, as well. highly competent, if only they would record more material.

ill be looking forward to seeing Unleashed again, as they are a burst of energy. id also like to see Obituary as i never have before. if anyone is at the NYC date, dont be afraid to say hello!
No.

Having reviewed the thread, baby Jesus is most definitely weeping at this point.

I was going to attend the Houston show on Saturday, but then Houston got destroyed. I'll be at the San Antonio show on Friday night.

I'm going to the SF show tomorrow. I'll mostly likely wear my Massacra shirt, if any fellow Hessians would like to hang out and talk before the show (and during the opener).
