Hi, I've been a reader for a while now. I've been running a small metal distro in NZ for a couple of months, selling Burzum, Darkthrone and so on. I don't take any money out of it so any small profit I put on cds goes into buying more. Until now I've been importing purely music as that should be the important thing to distribute. I have been wondering whether importing merchandise is worthwhile or not.

It would hopefully generate money which could then go towards importing more music. Should I sell these things to generate money for better things? I don't like the collectable nature of merch and it seems unneccesary to me but perhaps I should be doing what I can to make the distro bigger. Also along these lines should I sell big name albums that aren't among the cream to attract more customers.

I like the principle of only selling the music but perhaps I should be doing what I can to get more power/equity.
