Nothing is 100% despoiled. Go for it.
The cities are just as boring as the countryside; they're just newer, so it takes the monkeys a few decades to figure it out, and at about that point they retire from their failed careers to small apartments in semi-rural areas, and watch the shopping channel until the divine wind of a heart attack or stroke conveys them into the ground.
