“We as Asphyx are very pleased we’ve found such a dedicated label in Ibex Moon is to distribute our latest release in the USA. Some songs from this album are up on their Myspace right now.

It's also leaked in a number of places, if you want to hear the full thing.

Sounds like a solid return to form, but also, nothing that hasn't been done before.

I'll stick with the first two albums.

At least it doesn't sound like these guys are simply in it for a quick cash-in like the new Pestilence CD.

The passion is still there, but I'm not sure if they have anything left to offer, artistically.

I am listening to it right now, only one song in mind you, and it sounds like they have been listening to a lot of Destroyer666 to be honest. Apart from the obvious diference in vocals of course. Still bloody good though. We will see what the rest of the album delivers.

Well, I'll confess I am a bit of a pushover for most anything with Van Drunen on it and dig Asphyx in general, so I'll pick it up. I'm not really keen on the back-up vocal action though...

I think that bassist did vocals on one of Asphyx's albums.

Anyway, I've listened to this album a fair amount. Very solid return to form, and of course it wipes the floor with the new Pestilence. Consensus so far is a B+.
