The Return

The Return

If one day humanity decides to leave behind modern lifestyles and embrace more prudent philosophies, what should be done with all the useless media we have? Things like pornography, modern art, idiotic entertainment, etc. Should it be destroyed or kept for future generations to see how decadent humanity once was?

That gallery sounds like it would've been great to visit.

But Godwin's law is still in effect today: Everyone who dislikes the bulk of modern art (and not just visual art) for its frivolity is automatically a Nazi.

Your display of your own greatness is always more effective than the mockery of others.

I couldn't disagree more.

Relying on other people to figure out the obvious is a losing proposition.

If it weren't, we would not live in an age of memetic warfare.

The people need herding, and they need wise leaders; hence, they also need some direction.

I'm not fond of the Retarded Art exhibition either, but I'm less fond of your "just focus on yourself and everyone else will figure it out" attitude. That reminds me of a guy recently I was talking to who was going on and on about how "education" was going to solve all our problems.

I waited about ten seconds and then said, "Which problems has it solved so far?"

He ran up the fail flag, put tail between legs and fled.
