Notable absences:
Barathrum - Hailstorm
Second wave black metal from Finland; this one is a must, but everything from the second album onward should be avoided.
Parabellum - Tempus Mortis
First wave black/death from Columbia; although not highly enjoyable to most ears, deserves attention for its (at that time) unorthodox structural diversions and maniacal spirit.
Organismos - Organismos
Post-2000 death metal/grindcore; the current project of Carlos Mario Perez of Parabellum, this one attempts something that could be described as "cosmic" grindcore, using traditional death/grind elements in a way as to create an entrancing ambiance; not wholly dissimilar to the methods employed by Von, Burzum and Ildjarn.
diSEMBOWELMENT - Transcendence Into The Peripherals
There is a blog review hiding about somewhere, but this band deserves its own page, FFS.
Portal - Outre/Swarth
As above.
Unholy - From The Shadows
As above.
The Ruins of Beverast - Foulest Semen of a Sheltered Elite
German post-2000 black/death/doom hybrid. I'm still weighing this one up, but so far it seems worthy of inclusion into the DLA.
