No, I will not burn 1.000.000$, we humans are instinctually very addicted to money. Life is like a bad game, that you can play, or not, there's bad times and some good times. You're playing because you want try, if you create your own objective (knowledge in my case), it still being pointless, you just can't find real meaning in a place without meaning. You just continue because you want, you're not forced to do it.
Even you creating your own meaning, it will not be real, will be just a hobby. Meaning for christians is like go to heaven and live for ever in the paradise, but you have to be good (follow the 10 statements). Life can has a meaning, but it will never be a real meaning, just a hobby. The only meaning that I believe be real is the natural cycle (born, grow, reproduce and die, sharing your nutrients with the new life), isn't for us, is for the life coexistence. But WE, HUMANS, haven't a real meaning.
To a meaning be real it have to be bigger than our existence.
A brain machination is a brain machination. The declaration that meaning is just a brain machination, is still a brain machination. I prefer to just toss this self defeating proposition in the trash.
Or the interaction of various impulses and chemicals in the brain/central nervous system.I don't know that feelings are the best way to go about explaining the soul, but the problem I've always had with the *everything boils down to chemicals and impulses* is that chemicals and impulses are more an effect than an explanation. It would simply be the physical/"measurable" component that coincides with the situation. It almost makes it sound like chemicals and impulses are bumping around willy-nilly, randomly, arbitrarily, yet we know this is not the case.
People say that the religious experience is just a bunch of brain-processe s, but when I eat spaghetti, my brain starts doing this or that and no one questions the reality of my eating spaghetti.

Interesting, Hell, I thought henbane corrected the "Where are the riffs?" Problem of Haxan.

These six have not only held up to repeated listens, but I've found myself wanting to go back to them. Scalpel is awful to me, though I can see why many like it. All NWOBH is once in a blue moon music. Condor wasn't bad. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more refinement and some dynamic pacing.
Having spent my professional life around engineers, the thought of putting them in charge terrifies me. Putting in charge those whose field of concern is the machine and various technologies, will largely only be able to solve emergent problems by the application of more machinery or more technologies.
Not your thinking, but your being, is distinctiveness. Therefore not after difference, as ye think it, must ye strive; but after your own being. At bottom, therefore, there is only one striving, namely, the striving after your own being. If ye had this striving ye would not need to know anything about the pleroma and its qualities, and yet would ye come to your right goal by virtue of your own being. Since, however, thought estrangeth from being, that knowledge must I teach you wherewith ye may be able to hold your thought in leash.
Truly this confusion compounds itself. Satan is the whisperer, the reject, the liberal, powerless except for knowledge and for humanity. Strength, darkness, silence, cacophony, authority, hell, heaven all come from the Lord, for all creation comes from him and evil is a privation thereof. I see my favourite Euronymous quote in this thread, yet the Christianity that he despised is modern Christianity which is a front for liberalism (as far as people are concerned). Ironically his position was closer to genuine faith.
What is Satan? More importantly what is he not? Not the dark half that is for sure, but that is what he is often considered. The rebellion of Satan is one of petulance and ego, not will, for will is a godly thing. The horned Lord is not Satan, though I am sure he would love to be considered as such!
I think this is too convoluted to be an accurate depiction.
As Shiva dances, he creates. As he creates, so he destroys. Life exists between Venus and Mars.
I believe a more accurate picture of Satan is found in the dialectic between Satan and Christ which gives us knowledge of God.
I thought it was terrible for the first three listens. It's not an immediate album by any means. Now that the imagery has sunk in, I find it to be one of their more compelling outputs, just under Profanatitas but well, well above Dbag. It's also the perfect length for their intentions. It leaves the listener wanting more without feeling incomplete.
