Almost all politicians are soulless showmen and charlatans. Everyone is used to seeing some sock puppet candidate with a corporate hand up their asses, smiling pervertedly at every potential voter, shaking hands with the most culturally diverse of all Americans, and giving you the false illusion of a 'real, down to earth' person... while everyone else on the internet and media is jeering and pointing out the obvious presence, I know a troll when I see one.. and if anything, this guy should be hoisted and promoted by ANUS, as the greatest troll of all time.

And you claim you hate hipsters?

Problem?

Were you expecting more from a mainstream Hollywood zombie flick? For the last 10-15 years, film has been stuck in repetition, and remakes of past successes are dumbed down to the lowest common denomination so everyone can understand it.. after all, why on Earth would they make a movie that is critical of the audience? Not like they would get the meaning behind it anyhow, but just saying..  Good point, either way. The latest 'new' films (I stress new, since most are rehashed versions of whats already been done) are so pretentious and moronic, I get diarrhea just listening to people talk about them. Just like the latest in metal.

This sounds like what Pantera would be if they all didn't contract AIDS from Anselmo's used hypodermic needles. SNORE.

Haha, I got a kick out of this. Thanks.

What is even more pitiful is that most pop songs I've heard barely get passed three chord progressions, let alone a forth. ; )

Stuff Hipsters Hate... only a hipster would know what a hipster would hate, and they are self loathing people.. this is too paradoxical.. I am going to smoke some Parliament light cigarettes, crack a can of Pabst and get some food to photograph for my blog.. and try to tackle this subject in time.

I've never seen the show, and probably never will. But based on context from other sitcoms I have seen, which all pretty much run along the same premise, this show is just this eras Golden Girls, with the all too common sickness of the new millennium: rabid, excessive consumerism and hyper-sexual perversion, all neatly presented in a format that appeals to people of the same demographic..

If a woman or hell, anybody is stupid enough to follow a television show, or other form of popular media outlet with no sense of repercussion or even realization of what is really necessary and what is not... let them... we always need turnip pickers and toilet cleaners. Reality, like death can be ignored.. but in the end, it always catches up.

This video reminded me how awesome Assück is.. but anyway, this video is really something else. I don't quite know how I would respond if I saw Incantation or the likes playing on public TV these days.

Deicide at the time of this video were pretty young, and not quite as musically mature as when they wrote Legion. Which was really their opus, and then pretty rapid descension into mediocrity afterward.

http://rotten.com/legal/

I thought that was pretty enjoyable... a whole gaggle of butt hurt corporations sicking their scummy lawyer's after a website for hosting various imagery. I wonder if ANUS.com has ever had this sort of problem? Any legal implications like these ever arise? Besides Suck Shwaldnier's sister pissing her pants about bashing his 'good' name..

I've had an eerily similar dream like this before. It wasn't quite as vivid, but it definitely shakes you up when you awaken in a world that isn't so far off from forming the same insane solutions to a somewhat difficult problem as played out in your dreamworld and a neurotic population who are distracted by technology.

Interzone / Re: Atheism: another dead end
« on: June 13, 2010, 04:01:37 PM »
The biggest problem with Atheism is that it's a negative position, and therefore it is limited in how one can promote it.

What a coincidence. You must be lurking in the NIHIL list. Negative position indeed. I'll chalk atheism up alongside American white nationalism and G8/G20 protestors.

For most, atheism is more or less a smug interjection to throw in someone's face when debating religion, or even the existence of God. The word is heard and regurgitated for looking and sounding 'dangerous' in conversation, all while feeling superior for having a 'unique' system of beliefs. Now, this may not be the case for everyone.. but the cool guys who hang out at Starbucks blogging on Macbooks, well.. Many atheists these days were raised Christian, so I wouldn't be surprised that they still retain Christian values(egalitarianism, humanism) while ditching the jazz about God to solely appease themselves.

Also, the G-20 Summit came to Pittsburgh not too long ago.... man. Has there ever been a time you did everything in your power NOT to veer your vehicle into a crowd of hapless 18-24 year old turds stinking up a sidewalk, protesting something that they really didn't understand? I SURE KNOW ONE.

brings to mind the equally deconstructive:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artist%27s_shit

it would seem to me that pieces like this and the Delvoye are meant to take the piss and not present revealing insights into the functionality of the human digestive system. their worth is not predicated on the ability to paint - possibly the most ludicrous metric used to assess the value of art courtesy of this thread - because they aren't paintings.  so many people are critical of modern art, labeling it as shit, and now you've got a machine in a gallery making shit.  it's not a terribly deep concept, but it seems to have been missed by most in here.

whenever people commit the fallacy of establishing absolutist rules about art such as: "Regardless of the subject matter, you can plainly see in various works that he knows how to paint," I am led to wonder whether they're appreciating any art because it resonates personally or because it conforms to a prescribed set of rules.  I would imagine on a similar basis one could conclude that Lady Gaga is the apogee of the musical art form.

This could be relevant to our cause.

Quote from: Scourge
1. Most people are stupid, ugly, weak.
2. Eat only the stupid, ugly, weak.

I don't know about this. Stupid, ugly, and weak people would probably taste pretty awful.. considering the crap they eat. Let's corn feed them before the slaughter first, okay?
