Perhaps Worship - "Last Tape/Vinyl/CD Before Doomsday".

I know there's a review of "Dooom" in the DLA blog, but "Last... Before Doomsday" being somewhat different and better in my opinion, could be featured.

It sounds like french pop music from 70s/80s with spoken words elements.

How so, and do you have examples ? That's a real question, I am curious. I mean, Burzum isn't Téléphone or Daniel Balavoine...

The cover art is a detail of a painting by French late-19th century painter William Bouguereau.

Honestly, who still remembered this ? I'd take this reissue anyday over some (not all perhaps) material by Loudblast or Agressor.

By the way, still interested in any quality Belgian Metal besides Blasphereion and their previous effort.

Animals liking Metal show that Metal objectively makes sense, since it is recognized as natural enough by nature itself. Without completely realizing it, Metal musicians have followed patterns and sounds that have deeper implications regarding natural laws than most of us can suspect.

In this introduction Sartre seems to agree with Fanon about the need of the colonized people to do whatever necessary to forge an independent identity breaking away from the role of a subjugated and dominated nation.

Since a few decades it's fashionable to take a stand for any "oppressed" group as long as it's not your own ; this is also a part of the usual communist rethoric. So it's not as contradictory as it seems. Many internationalists are writing about how we should free some distant or imaginary people to bring them democracy and Wal-Marts, and most "liberators" are just promoters of a more (not so) subtle colonization.

As Sartre did write more pages than others, people thought he had something to say. When in fact he did not, and did bring so much corruption of the soul and of the intellect that one shouldn't care whether there is something good hidden among the immense pile of crap he delivered to the world (one shouldn't accept any error mixed with the Truth anyway). He's just another road to the spiritual and intellectual perdition of men. It's poison, but not so subtle as to be taken by accident so I guess that most of his victims have given him their consent.

To know him it's simpler and better to learn what he has said outside of his writings. For example, while jewish bolsheviks were slaughtering millions of Europeans, Asians, Americans and were trying to destroy the last remnants of Tradition worldwide with their revolutions and subversive action, Sartre used to claim that "anyone who is not a communist is a dog". He was vehemently anti-tradition, anti-culture, anti-nation and would have shot gladly any people in France who weren't ready to abandon their real identity to become brainwashed "citizens of the world" under the international domination of a foreign ethnic group. I think that should say enough.

Would it not be the most epic troll ever if someone just threw together something to fool everyone into thinking its Burzum... and the samples circulating are all fake? I would look immediately at Conservationist.

Indeed.

Regardless, one thing is for sure : when I listened to the samples I thought it was another band, not Burzum ; which is kind of problematic. Because the mighty Burzum should not be just Thorns + Enslaved + Gorgoroth aesthetics, which are what these samples immediately brought to my mind.

"Your Aspie score : 158 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score : 48 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie."

Meh.

Interzone / Re: Archaic video games

For the PC, I still can appreciate and estimate Sim City 2000 / 4, Age of Empires, Caesar III, and Zeus - Master of the Olympus. Don't know if that's really archaic, but it's great. When I'll finally quit Windows, I'll bring those with me and make them work under Wine or something, even if I touch them only once every six months.

Outside of the PC, I still have consideration for some SNES and N64 generation games, almost anything after being rubbish for me. Ocarina of Time and GoldenEye 007 will always be unrivaled and incomparable video game summits and achievements.
