Metal / Metal is fat

The highlight of the Exodus' set came when, after much insistence from the audience and feigned resistance from the band, they launched into the mosh-pit favorite,“The Toxic Waltz”. Rob Dukes demanded that the entire room form a giant pit and the audience obliged... for a moment.

It looked like there was going to be bedlam and broken bones as the first chords of the song rang out, but by the time the first chorus arrived the swirling mass had dissipated into a bunch of people leaning on their knees and trying to catch their breaths.

San Antonio has the dubious distinction of being the 3rd fattest city in America, so it was not a shock to see an unfit cross-section of fans fail to make three laps around the room before tapping out. Exodus kept right on going and wisely did not speak any further about it.

Kreator and Exodus fans fail to do Toxic Waltz

Metal / Dimmu Borgir to release 3 terrible new albums
« on: January 17, 2009, 11:20:07 PM »
Oslo- Atrocious Norwegian band Dimmu Borgir has announced that they plan to release at least 3 awful new recordings by the end of the next fiscal year.

"We have a contract to fulfill, and we could use the money anyway," said Shagrath, the band's vapid frontman , "so we decided that we could write enough sophomoric and stupid songs to fill out three completely abysmal LPs right away."

Dimmu Borgir has become an increasingly popular crap band in recent years with their inane mix of poorly-executed keyboards and remedial heavy metal guitar riffs. Ever since the sub-par act signed to the pedestrian German label Nuclear Blast in 1997, their shitty star has been on the rise.

"We appreciate the continued support of our moronic fans, and we're looking forward to unloading this total garbage on them," the untalented vocalist continued, "it's going to suck worse than ever before!"

The 3 unbearable albums in question are tentatively titled, "Darkness Inviolate Euphoria", "Internecine Darkness Redolent", and "Supremacy Incessant Darkness"

Metal / Metallica fulfills promise to displeasure of former fans

Metallica fulfills promise to displeasure of former fans

Los Angeles - In the wake of increasingly poor albums and unprecedented overexposure for bay area quartet Metallica, many former fans have realized to their horror that the band has thus far made good on an earlier promise from 1983. The group's vow to neither stop nor quit has turned from a blessing to a curse in the minds of many of their early proponents.

"Man, when 'Kill Em All' came out, I wanted that band to last forever," recalls ex-Metallica supporter Dave Lathrop, "That song 'Whiplash' was like a covenant between the band and the fans that they'd always be there. Who knew that they'd actually make good on it?"

Metallica, who have repeatedly maligned their valued legacy in metal music with songs such as "Ain't My Bitch" and that really horrible one on the "Mission Impossible 2" soundtrack, continues unabated and are currently in the middle of a new tour in support of their obnoxious new album, “Death Magnetic”. With no reported plans to retire, original fans of the band's pre-1990 releases are despairing of ever seeing an end to it all.

"I know what they said," states former fan Jim Dooley, who has hated Metallica for the past 18 years, "Yeah, 'Cause we're Metallica', I got it. So when are they going to fucking stop already? Christ."
