Wonder what user account he had on this forum.

Haha.

I can't breathe and move my arms and legs at the same time
Fucking really?

"Swimming is a country club sport that only very rich kids get to participate in. The swimming pool is a very elitist thing to have in your backyard," says Prof Irwin.

"This phenomenon is not only African American. Believe it or not, we have the same problem in the Caribbean. Although we are surrounded by sea, many children of African descent in the Caribbean just cannot swim. There is some initiative lately, especially in Antigua and Barbuda, but it is not ingrained in black culture." Ernest Merrill, Antigua and Barbuda

"I grew up in Dublin, Ireland in the 1950s and '60s and never learned to swim - no pools anywhere close by, no encouragement whatsoever. In the US for decades now, all my children swim - as does my American wife - but I am still a paddler in the shallow end. My attempts to take swimming lessons have been a disaster. I have no natural buoyancy, water flows into my ears and nose, I can't breathe and move my arms and legs at the same time, I am terrified of being in water that I can't stand up in. I can perfectly understand why someone, black or white, wouldn't or couldn't learn to swim. "You'll float - the water will keep you up - everyone floats - you won't drown" - all of these are simply not true to my experience. I really envy people who can swim, but I know that I am probably never going to be a swimmer, now that I am pushing towards the end of my sixth decade of life."

Those primitive people, so in touch and in balance with nature, could really teach us modern pigs a lesson or two about how to save the planet!

Humans hunted Australia's giant vertebrates to extinction about 40,000 years ago, the latest research published in Science has concluded.

It appears that humans, who arrived in Australia around this time, hunted the megafauna to extinction, the scientists said.

The megafauna included three-metre tall giant kangaroos and marsupial lions, as well as giant birds and reptiles.

...the idea that stone age hunters could cause such utter havoc across three entire continents over very short time spans strikes many people as incredible. Like it or not, though, it's the truth, and it's time for us to all confront it.

GARDENING

What do you think of aeroponics?

Also, you should try to create a superbreed of Opossum. Their gestation period is only like 10 days and they tend to have lots of offspring. Most dog breeds appeared in the last 150 years so you could have your own breed of opossum in 15 years.

Talvisota (Finland)
Hateful and violently raw. The production is incredibly low, but the musicianship shines as being tight and very fast. This is a great example of a band that will be overlooked because of production value, and people will miss the incredible energy and absolutely honest and pure aggression.

I really have trouble understanding how someone who listens to death metal and black metal can be horrified by neo-nazis.

The relationship to their hallucinations are speculative, but the basic idea is that their brains may not be bothered by the implausibility of a concave face (or, perhaps, of their own delusions/hallucinations). People without schizophrenia have high expectations for realism, so they can’t imagine something so fantastic as a concave face...

Interesting connections here between creativity, schizophrenia, and altered states of mind induced by drugs or sleep deprivation.
