Metal / music is not beautiful

What it describes is beautiful. A sorely missed distinction leading to a common misconception. Maybe Gustav Holst was right after all?

Metal / Aidspell Omega Embrace Traditionalism?
« on: August 03, 2012, 02:42:10 AM »
I happened across the lyrics of the latest release from these Frenchmen. If I am understanding this correctly, I believe they seem to be taking a stance similar to the blooming Right movements.

One may argue that it was flawed
since the beginning
that the dice were loaded
that God had it all within
that He is the Source.
O heavenly Father!
pathogenic agent of contamination.
harbringer of catastrophe,
icon of the impending Fall:
but what difference does it make?
Altitudines Satana
the vertigo of Liberty
tipped the scales.
A shadow of horror is risen.

Blaming an outside source for the failings of man. Obviously a jab at nu-atheists and their ilk who espouse this "God is evil" meme. More importantly, that Liberty is a sickness that changed the fate of the west.

Yet, wasn't this an act of compassion?
Like the shooting in the head
of a horse with a broken leg.
Your cry of revolt and disbelief
a brief caesura in the slowing
heartbeat of the world
as if a horrible new pain
had been given birth in abomination -
surges in vain the face the inexorable,
leaving behind but a meagre comfort:
there is no exemption for the offspring
of this withered womb,
not even for Chaos itself.
Who can reap the meaning
of this unstinted negation
of centuries and millions
before it sinks within the infinite depths
of that dun ocean?

Things didn't quite work out as humans turned from reality in the name of comfort. That comfort is slowly becoming a distant memory for most.

Maybe this is all confirmation bias, but godamnit I'm surprised these hipsters put anything together. Then they could just be riding the wave. If they are sincere, this doesn't excuse their awful output.

Why waste any energy refuting their beliefs and their philosophy? If life has taught me anything, those of ability and intelligence will naturally gravitate themselves towards positions of power. The peasant rule will end. So why dedicate any amount of time to discussing their faults? Surely, they are readily apparent. Surely, their faults are obvious? Why does this website waste it's energies? if we accept the cyclical view of history, whey do we dedicate ourselves to pointing out the flaws of degeneracy? Even a society which is purged of the under 120's WILL succumb to the corruption of prosperity. Relish in the beautiful. It is eternal and beyond our control.

Metal / Metal....

Metal is fucking great. In its best, it is beyond a specific moment in time. In its worst, it is just like rock: some music that you got laid once too that happened to stick with you because you had an orgasm while it was on. Subjectivity only goes so far as to describe what type of person you are and what you value. I don't care if what is coming out may be considered "B-" at best. There is still plenty to be expressed. The flag has never truly fallen. I don't believe in this "good enough" philosophy. Beauty is eternal, it is still readily being expressed within the genre. Many of the releases which are decried around here as being "decent" would have been hailed as masterpieces in what is considered the "heyday" of metal. I am only 24, I was not around for this "heyday." However, I recognize the burning spirit when I see it. The eternal truths are still being expressed. Hail them, and hail metal.

Interzone / When it comes the survival of a species

It's more important that we give love a chance:

Quote
Zookeepers in Toronto have walked unexpectedly into an argument over gay rights, after deciding to separate two apparently gay African penguins named Buddy and Pedro. The two male birds have been courting the way males and females do, grooming each other and swimming together. They show no interest in the lovesick females following them around. Zoo officials, noting that the species is endangered, insist on splitting up the the lovebirds in the hopes they'll take up with lady penguins and pass on their genes. Should the zookeepers let the gay penguins be?

Interzone / support diversity....

Become a nationalist!

The cultivator of cultures!

In all seriousness, if leftists (just for the sake of discussion) are honest and sincere about diversity, why do they support intermixing and multiculturalism? The two things that actually kill off diversity altogether?

The superhero's appearance hasn't been finalized, but he definitely will be a Muslim boy in a wheelchair. An early sketch shows a boy who lost his legs in a landmine accident and later becomes the Silver Scorpion with the power to control metal with his mind.

Not only is he disabled, he is also a minority. OoOOOoooOOO we're soo progressive.

Truly shattering the barriers.

At least his super power hasn't been done before...............
