Metal / Neuraxis

This band is phenomenal, I'm not extremely avid on them yet, as I haven't heard all of their work, but I have been away on holiday at my parents in the mountains and haven't had the internet connection required to download a discography. Any ideas or highlights for this band? Anyone have a live experience with them?

Metal / Black/Death Metal Deaths
« on: December 31, 2010, 12:32:53 AM »
Some believe that Euronymous' death was extremely Kvlt, however I feel that there are other deaths out there that are far more generically Black metal than being stabbed over a band. Valfar Ein Windir died at 26 in a blizzard on a walk to his parents house. He died in the most black metal way possible, SNOW. I digress, anyone who can think of some extremely black metal ways of dying, please post them.

What's your favorite kind of beer? I realize that this isn't exactly awe inspiring, thought provoking conversation for most of you, and I may even get some imbecile purists trolling my thread simply because I posted something outside of the norm. However, my favorite beers are still, and always will be...amazing.
Rogue Stout
Double Bastard
Hop Zaar
Most IPA's
Pretty much anything by Lagunitas, especially maximus.and Alpha, Tango, Foxtrot: Jobless recovery ale.

Metal / Recommendation Thread
« on: October 12, 2010, 05:25:45 PM »
I consulted my search tool, and, coming up with no recommendation threads to speak of, I propose a thread in order that people searching for new music might find what they are looking for, from other experienced aficionados. What I am searching for would fall under Technical Death with really audible bass guitar, such as Pavor or Obscura.

Interzone / Prosthetics In Ancient Egypt
« on: October 12, 2010, 05:11:31 PM »
Recently I was perusing some articles and I came acrossed one regarding the use of prosthetics in ancient times. It really astounds me that people these days see things such as this as completely profound. The ancient egyptians are one of the greatest classical influences on intelligence. Next to the romans, they have some of the most astonishing things of their time, and still people wonder how they could want an artificial toe when one is lost. The logistics of the entire situation are amazing however. /news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2007/07/070727-egypt-toe.html

Metal / Origin

Why does it seem that everyone I come acrossed, absolutely despises this band. Whether they say that they are trying too hard to be "technical", or all of the songs sound the same. I am simply wondering how anyone could doubt the power of "Antithesis"...simply wondering.

Metal / WTF Album & Music Video Moments
« on: October 12, 2010, 04:13:50 PM »
Throughout the annals of time there have been several music videos, and album covers that I have come acrossed with but one reaction in order...what the fuck... One such video being Cephalic Carnage's "Lucid Interval". From the morbidly obese safety pin sideshow man, to Lenzig Leil saying the words while they are screamed in the video...what the fuck is going on in this video....Anyone else?
