There is a pretty wide selection of reproduced demos of obscure bands. They are, from what I have bought from them, one sided cassettes, covers are usualy printed on regular computer paper (except the avers sefira where it is done on glossy paper.) I don't know about the cds, haven't bought from them, but since they are still circulating releases I would expect something you would normally find in any other distributer.

Averse Sefira - Blasphomet Sin Abset- Cassette - 5$

Embalmed - Demo Reh. / Live from Hell - Cassette - 5$

 Darkthrone - Panzerfaust - CD - 8$

Krieg - The Black House - CD - 8$

Interzone / National Socialist Black Metal (N5BM)
« on: September 26, 2007, 04:58:10 PM »
I have only heard about national socialist, or nazi, blackmetal, but the ideology, nor any specific bands were ever mentioned. I know that it is mostly irrelevant, if not all, but I am curious none the less. Is it based on political structure, racism, or just boredom like nazi punk?

Also, if some one could actually give me a spicific example; I've heard that peste noire was, but also arguments to the contrary, as well with horned almighty(if you don't know them, don't bother checking them out).

Interzone / Slow Paced Black-Metal
« on: September 19, 2007, 11:37:00 AM »
I have heard a lot about the creative freedom of death metal, about how you can play as fast or slow as you wish. I find that it is not found as often in black metal. I was thinking this could be a thread to suggest really good low paced albums or songs; my examples;

Gorgoroth- Everything from antichrist (The percussive is fast, but there is a very slow feeling to the album with the exception of the first track) and Virginborn from destroyer

Von- Von, lamb,(not entirely slow paced but unusual drumming. )

Darkthrone- Hordes of Nebula, Quintessence,

Judas Iscariot- Reign, Cold Earth Slept Below

Burzum- Decrepitude, Det Som En Gang Var, Dominus Sathanas

Necromantia- Evil Prayers

The Covenant- Dark Conquest, Night of the Blackwinds.

Tha-Norr- Calling Forth the Spirits of the Elements, The Fortress will Fall,

Metal / Craft and Functionality
« on: June 20, 2007, 01:01:52 AM »
Is there an artisan base in a metal comunity? I was curious as to the forms of craft and the functionality metal plays in craft, and creative forms of construction. by craft I'm thinking of things like carpentry, cuisine, paint, literture, masonry, achetecture. (as for me I find I draw insperation from metal into the craft of knitting, creating something useful, but also being a reflection of it's creator). I was hopeing if any one else could discuss how metal has affected some of the other creative outlets.
