Metal / Re: Song Structure in Metal
« on: February 28, 2016, 04:44:08 PM »
When you say discernible structure I can only think of knowing every single verse from every single jawbreaker song. Metal has a strong structure, but not a simple one, otherwise metal songs would be predictable, catchy and, eventually, we'd get bored, just like jawbreaker.

Metal can be complex while maintaining organization, metalcore tries to be complex, but cannot maintain a structure, so it is pointless.

I tried to listen to this album recently and thought it had a pretty lame production, which's a shame because i felt the songs were pretty enjoyable. Not that I can't enjoy raw music (hails to nidhogg), but what a wasted potential, I couldn't even hear the vocals properly, which is, again, a shame because I thought they were pretty cool.

Good recommendations. I've been listening to William Basinski (Disintegration Loops II, mainly), Biosphere and, sometimes, Philip Glass.

i support total freedom in speech and thought, and even a nazi should be free to say whatever he thinks. for me forbidding special thoughts or opinons does not fit into a democratic society. forbidding opinions turns them to a taboo, what attracts most of the young metalheads very much. it makes them feel like real rebels to break those taboos. i want that those taboos never even appear.

"Humanism is a code for anti-life". Humanists has infected modern science to (try) prove their egocentric philosofy, they also has infected atheism, so the philosofy of not-being theistic is now a belief in humam superiority.

Maybe it isn't atheism or science, it is humanism.

Deathmetal.org says that it doesn't really exists. This is a commercial name for speed-metal, and I agree with it in part. But what about Bathory, Sarcófago, Celtic Frost, Sodom, Sepultura? You can't say they are speed-metal (Sodom maybe), but you also can't say they are (totally) death-metal/black-metal. These bands are like crust-punk/harcore with speed-metal.

Atheists believe in science, thay don't care for anything but science. They don't care for nothing before science prove, atheists are ignorants.

Metal / Re: Do heavy metal and punk music promote nihilism?
« on: February 13, 2014, 08:07:34 AM »
Well, heavy metal and punk music most of time promotes some kind of nihilism, but in a very superficial kind. Some bands will promote the name of nihilism but very few really know nihilism, the most of metal/punk musicians are anarchists, anti-christian religion, or maybe nationalists, but a very few part of these musicians know deeply or even essencially the thing called nihilism.
