Panterable in their "salad days" w/ Kerry King playing South of Heaven.....

Jesus was a hippie. Maybe he said a few things about killing people, but the fact is that his stoned ass said a lot of different things, many semi-contradictory.

Many of the great philosophers and thinkers had contradictory ideas. It almost seems like a prerequisite for greatness. It contributes to their enigma and appeal.

Jesus was a bit too ambiguous for my liking though.

Another quote regarding "bringing the sword".

"Then Jesus asked them, "When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?" "Nothing," they answered. He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one."

Sell your shit, buy a gun.

If you live by the sword, you die by it. So be it I say!

The hermaphrodites shall inherit the earth.

Whoa....The Trans and ambiguously gendered shall inherit the earth.

This seems to be a concept which is utterly lost on today's culture and is looked at as a strange artifact from a long forgotten past. Handing out "Support our Troops" bumper stickers or donating a few measly dollars to the Disabled Veterans of America seems to be the only remnant of acknowledging this centuries old tradition of honoring the warrior. Even to most soldiers today this is a foreign concept. Having been taught life is precious and to use force sparingly and humanely.

As I understood it,
WE shaped our cultures establishments and traditions through our force of will.
WE were the stewards of knowledge and understood it as an essential staple our continued existence.
WE understood our spiritual relationship to the Earth and all things that springs forth from it.
WE valued and embraced self sacrifice.
WE honored obedience knowing servitude would be our fate without it.
WE regarded warfare as an indispensable and inevitable characteristic of mankind.
WE sought always to perfect our craft and regarded it as high-art.

a. Go to college/university
b. Get a job (preferably one with positive long term prospects)
c. Join the army
d. Become homeless
e. Develop yourself through educating yourself

Depending on your personal situation some of these options are cop outs. But the world is yours, all you need to do is take it.

Stay away from "C". You might think "A" could be accomplished by doing "C" but you'll most likely end up a "D" without a "B". Thus going the long way around "E".

Pretty sure it also helps prevent Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and probably a few other things. This is good, as coffee is an addiction I have no intention of giving up.
You should, caffeine is a pointless over-stimulation of the senses for bored people. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't indulge myself occasionally, though.

Does anyone on here feel the need to take a bear sized shit shortly after imbibing caffeine?

Phooey. Caffeine is a heavenly substance. One which stimulates neural and digestive function. A fitting metaphor for all things anusian.

I don't drink 10 cups a day but rather approach my caffeine intake much like a chemist might.  Personally 1-2 cups of espresso daily does the trick.

Interzone / Re: Malware declares war on Apple
« on: May 28, 2011, 09:28:25 PM »
The stories have started to emerge and now the battle has begun. After years of being off-limits to hackers, the Apple Macintosh is now subject to the same sort of abuse that the PC has endured and survived over the years: malware.

Apple says it will send out some patches this week, but this just marks the beginning of a long battle. It will be ugly, as the platform is largely like the unprotected, the users are clueless, and there is zero resistance within the platform. The few Mac users who survive the barrage will probably be former PC users who are not so easily fooled by fake websites.

It really is an overpriced PC fit for the computing-clueless socializer elite.

I've noticed recently a steady stream of faux websites and Mackeeper download requests. You are right about the survivors being FORMER PC users. Evolution it seems is not without a sense of irony.

This has bullshit painted all over it.

FBI looking for some more spooooky symbols now that Osama is disposed?

I don't think any FBI agent with half a brain believes he had anything to do with this. It's the media grasping at straws.

Doesn't seem like his modus operandi. He always chose his targets specifically and with reason. If i'm not mistaken the government received a full confession years ago, and with a life sentence without the possibility of parole I couldn't see what he would gain by lying. But this didn't keep the justice department from profiting off of his namesake, since they have no shame in putting some of his possessions up for auction.

Considering the workplace as it exists today, men and women working in close confines for 8+ hours a day I don't find it to surprising, as far as nature is concerned. You stick over-caffeinated 20 somethings in an office all day you can sort of expect a certain amount of debauchery.

Interzone / Re: Suicide
« on: May 14, 2011, 01:56:44 PM »
I suppose i'm a bit ambivalent to it. As you pointed out, suicide to preserve one's honor can be seen as a heroic and defiant final act. An act which displays to his enemies, his ultimate refusal to submit to defeat and/or enslavement. German officers as well as the Samurai often chose suicide over surrender. However Kurt Cobain-esque type suicides in my eyes, reflect no honor whatsoever. Pity and self-loathing are good reasons to kill yourself I suppose, hence my ambivalence. Suicide like everything else depends on context and to a lesser degree, circumstance.
