Metal / Re: Goreaphobia
« on: February 17, 2013, 01:47:24 AM »
I would like to take back my slandering of this band. I was a complete DOUCHE for saying this band was crap. That video really did, and still does turn me off big time but Mortal Repulsion is a fucking solid album. Finally gave it a proper listen today because I needed to hear some new death metal.

I dig the tape trading idea. I think a large sum of us are living in the america's which would not be much for postal fees on a tape. It would bring the community tighter together(pen pals), we wouldn't have to worry about losing our files through some hosting website. I believe this is a logical and progressive step towards what we on this forum strive for in the metal culture.
Free downloading wont last forever. In the meantime however i have noticed a few blogs using http://narod.yandex.ru/ which has been untouched so far.

Metal / Re: First metal album
« on: December 08, 2012, 11:58:04 PM »
...And Justice For All was also my first metal album. I remember watching a live version of the title track over and over again, fascinated by it. While most of my friends were still into the more hardrock stuff like Godsmack at the time, i was constantly searching for the next best thing. Even though now I probably give Godsmack's first album more spins than And Justice.... it was just an album that gave me the hunger for the heaviest music i could find. Good times. I try and convert most "rockers" with that album because they all associate Metallica with Enter Sandman. And Justice For All was a good album for sure.

Some aspects of certain serial killers fascinate me but when it boils down to it, these are sick fucks that would steal your loved ones, fuck them, and hang them by their intestines above their beds as decorations.

I wonder if he invites guys from work over to fuck his "mommy" while he watches, to bring back fond childhood memories as well.

Metal / Re: Recommend me some Black Metal

So far , Far Away From The Sun has definently been at the bottom of all these recommendations, which is a good thing. To indulge, i would add Dimmu Borgir's Stormblast as being in your preferred interest.

Metal / Re: Generic bands that have had one quality composition.
« on: October 19, 2012, 11:36:53 PM »
i dont even see the point in going on a pursuit for all the one hit wonders. I wouldn't even give praise to a band if they had two or three excellent songs. This is Metal we are talking about here, not the top 40's. A band has to have at least one quality FULL LENGTH album, for it to be worth your time.

Well i would at the very LEAST put Rrröööaaarrr in there for 86'. I think it is their best output personally but everything else up to Dimension Hatross is gold, including their debut as well.

Metal / Re: Graveland Memory and Destiny remake
« on: September 27, 2012, 12:32:16 AM »The original marked the beginning of my disinterest in the band so hopefully this re-recording is an improvement, certainly the latest Lord Wind album was top notch.
Agreed.
Spears Of Heaven was a fuckin' snore. The production, the music and the vocals just flatlined throughout the whole album.

all Graveland/LORD WIND hoodies/sweaters are of top quality! I have a Lord Wind zip-up and it is great! I highly recommend these hoods.
im interested to hear these samples, the original production always put me off.

Metal / Re: Albums you used to bother with
« on: September 10, 2012, 11:32:01 PM »
I love Worship Him, i just figured that that was their opus and didnt bother with any else in their catalog. Im gonna give BLOOD RITUAL a couple more tries before leaving it behind.
Why the frig is Behemoth even in the archives anyways??
DLA bands I don't really bother with anymore: Antaeus, Behemoth, Niden Div 187, Sorcier des Glaces.
DLA bands I could never really get into anyway: Absu.

I downloaded that Baphomet album and also Samael's Blood Ritual the other day actually. Both very boring and I think im going to delete those pretty damn quick here before I waste more of my time on them.
I rarely walk into a record store and buy something, it would be nice, but they are definently a thing of the past. I also cant stand seeing how overpriced some of the local shops think they can price their vinyls at.
