Interzone / Spikes, gauntlets
« on: August 31, 2008, 02:09:43 PM »
I've tried to search many "bdsm" armor websites which would provide spiked gauntlets (albeit "gauntlet" isn't technically correct as per se, since it means glove...), and I'm not anywhere to being satisfied. Guess the good old DIY is the solution in context?

Metal / Vader launch self-titled energy drink`
« on: August 22, 2008, 12:21:02 AM »

Polish death metal veterans VADER have teamed up with Hertz Polska for the production and promotion a new energy drink called "Vader". The band's anniversary gig in Warsaw on August 30 will be the first opportunity for the fans to enjoy the unique taste of this new drink.

Hertz Polska is going to extend its co-operation with VADER to promote this energy drink on the Polish market. More details will follow soon.

VADER's 25-year anniversary gig, which scheduled for August 30 at Stodola Club in Warsaw, Poland, is officially sold out, according to a posting on the Polish band's web site.

VADER will play a two-hour-plus set, featuring songs from old demo tapes as well as the more popular tracks from the group's recent studio albums. The show will be filmed for an anniversary DVD, tentivately titled "XXV" (to be released in 2009). The band will prepare not only a special live set, but also a special stage design and other surprises.

LOLWUT. How  much can metal decay? Somebody should shout the lyrics fromLandsers'  polacken tango at their gig.

I agree, but RAC is mainly protest music, it doesn't aim to achieve something politically on long-term, not artistically.

Kolovrat (adopted a more metal aesthetic recently), Agressiva 88, Konkwista 88, Honor, Sztorm 68 and more. Kolovrat and Honor are of special note.

While I can't stand general rock music, there's something about RAC which makes me listen to it.
Eastern European RAC scene has some good bands.

ZOG owned last.fm banned me 4 times, despite being a subscriber (on 4 different accounts). However, it's the most fun place to troll! Starting from scratch yet again, haha!

Interzone / Re: Meaning of the word Voivod

Voivod is actually "voievod" in romanian and it's a mostly romanian type of state.
Typical westerner... think the only "voivod" is, of course, Vlad Tepes. Westerners should study the history of this area more... because without us, they would have surely been overrun by ottomans and other scum!

They have more "mainstream attention now", but it's doubtful it will be THAT significant with all the hordes of   metalcore bands, so they'll probably figure it out fully and go 100% back to their roots. And the band has 20 years now and still didn't get that much mainstream attention. Just like DRI, they also had a video circulating at MTV, but never sold out.

Like their latest stuff was worth something anyway. Just blast in morbid tales and forget this.

OVerrated, bassless, but still highly enjoyable (at least for a youngster which as yet to fully define everything he listens). However this band seems to attract hipster fans from all over metal.

I wouldn't trust something self-described as a joke, despite being from Dead Horse, which had a smart humor in their music.
