I think the few times I ordered from HH, I got e-mails from Craig confirming the order. It's been about a year since I've ordered from them though.

To the best of my knowledge, Reaper Metal is run by Craig from Nunslaughter/Crucified Mortals.

You don't have to be sober to be a buzzkill.

I've heard some of this music, but what I meant was that any music that is used for the background of anything is devalued. Metal, for example, demands the listener's full attention.

Metal is more an expression of meta-good is what you're saying. By growing the fuck up and acknowledging the bad we can construct our own good out of the world. Whereas "positive" music is just cute puppies and rainbows made out of MDMA pills; a distraction from the harsh realities of life.

They've only looked at metal from the surface and lumped it in with the rest of the shitty music that infests angsty young teenagers minds...

If only taken at face value, metal is horrible. It can barely be called music, it's scary, it's ugly, and it bashes your head in, so to speak.

Don't take it as an insult to metal, this article has some good points, they just don't know any goddamned better.

I'd have to for the most part agree, DMBM.

you said it before I could, Pathologist. Who got the crazy notion that moshing was a dance anyway?

yeah, like a soundtrack to their illusory working-class lives.

it's typical how many people review ambient music as "put this on and fall asleep to it", which totally misses the point. the music still requires attention just tuned to a different level.

I might add that sleeping to music does both the music and your attention span an injustice.

Exactly. When I first brought up the personal choice thing, I had no intention of it becoming a defense for any otherwise unjustifiable behavior. Only that in the end, it's up to the members of the audience which is why this issue will always remain divided. Some people find reason and meaning in it while others don't. Some people can't bring themselves to do something so ridiculous and other people can't go to a show without it.

My mistake TFP.

I try not to sleep to any music or noises or anything, lest I become dependent on it. Too many people I know fall asleep to movies or music or television or radio.

Copycat. Someone in New Hampshire did the exact same thing a couple years ago except replace hidden grave in the woods with a mausoleum.

It came out of the punk scene, and it reeks of the faggotry that always infested that social circle.

that's a hard card to play. D-Beats suck but Gorgoroth still uses them. 3 notes in a song sucks but Von still does it.

Crossover/thrash and grindcore both came from the punk scene, do they reek of this faggotry you speak of?
