Although I only found it the other day at the secondhand "The Wondrous Mushroom - Mycolatry in Mesoamerica" by R. Gordon Wasson seems to be one of the most indepth looks into this. After studying mushroom takers in Russia preWWI he became convinced the mushroom began every religion on earth. So began his research with Mazatec Indian shamans.

I was about to post the benefits of Yerba Mate, that I have been drinking for years in copious amounts in the traditional manner. But a quick search to support some of the benefits reveals it has been recently discovered to cause cancer more than fight it. Heh, bladder and throat cancer here I come. Guess you should stay away from that one, unless you have colon cancer.

sometimes i have an existential crisis(?), where i am suddenly from a parallel universe looking in on this one, or another, and there are lots of ' metal ' shirts on people, but these 'bands' no one has ever heard, or heard of, and actually are just invented logos and images, that have nothing behind them beside the inventor who is probably from some fucking interdimensional urban outfitters, and i really wish i had Graveland shirt on.

thanks to this site i discovered varathron and necromantia, for me , it was a hard thing to believe it even exists. it seems like it cracked out of another realm and has oozed into this one. i think i fell out of my chair and clawed at the sun when i heard varathron, and listening to necromantia at nite in the
woods highly recommended. truly black heavy metal as mentioned.
