Most tea party members are ignorant fucks.

A very good analysis of the economical state of the USA, which is why I've opposed Obama since the very beginning and conclude he is no different from Hitler.

Genocide is stupid, period. End the power of the elite, and start educating people then you get somewhere...

It is a wicked album, it's a shame these guys never managed to progress beyond the material they had written.

What I'm seeing here in many of these posts holds little substance. The higher echelons of society are the areas where any human being should aspire to be. My uncle's story gave me great inspiration - he graduated from a state school when he was only 20 and was listening to Morbid Angel, Sepultura, Slayer and Metallica whilst he applied for Medical School, and finaly got accepted at Duke University. Nearly 20 years later, he has an MD and a PHD - teaches at a University and mocks students who listen to electronic music and poppy rock music. He still wears an earring, still fancies a Slayer t shirt whenever he's not teaching and still buys CD's.

Studio Sneak Preview with drummer Steve Shalaty:

I hear traces of Close to a World Below!

What's absolutely incredible is how this band refuses to give in to the pressure of corporations. I think every band which started out well, ended up "experimenting" with their sound and going all reductionist on our asses. Other bands release an album every other year to keep touring - Immolation is another story, incredible quality and I have always liked the drummers.

I think your post was way too broad, define stupid? It might seem easy at first but elusive as soon as you get into details.

I think alot of people hate elitism, and being told what to do by a group of people (even though multicorporations promote this to the very core).

You said it, simple music for simple people - not just in reference to metal, but also classical. People take punk seriously because it's relatively easy to decipher.

There are a number of threads here like this, so I think we should create one for:

* Your music
* Your blogs
* Your accomplishments
* Your photos
* Your visual art

I suggest we maintain a social standard by which only the best is praised, and the rest ignored -- not slammed.

Music: I used to be in a death metal band, we started off by playing Nile, Deicide and Slayer covers before doing our own thing. I left the band because they didn't seem to take it serious.

Blogs: No Blogs, used to work for a magazine in Egypt - was a writer there for about 6 months. I helped invent it actually along with a good friend. We weren't a particularly large workforce, the aim of the magazine was to promote Heavy Metal and classical music with denoting other forms of music such as pop and rock, as well as emphasize the importance of philosophy - highlighting the achievements of Islamic and Western philosophers (usually atheist). Promote nationalism and bring to light the true meaning of globalization - social critic. We had to abandon it because it was unsafe to promote beliefs which deviated from the 'cultural' norm.

Accomplishments: Study at an Ivy League school, hopeful of getting a PHD within evolutionary biology - specifically herpetology (reptiles and amphibians). Help revitalize the heavy metal scene in egypt largely due to the re-introduction of CD's and band concerts.

I have more or less been logging onto ANUS regularly for more than 5 years now. The forums I can say, although I don't 'hate' them, I wish I can see who exactly is doing all the typing - many people here give the impression they are extremely intelligent because they know how to fuse language and thought, read a few books by Nietzsche and know how to use a thesaurus. It always seems to me that everyone here is either deconstructing something, or simply praising something deconstructive. I would love to see people here who have actually accomplished something - not necessarily for the benefit of humanity, but have written a book, graduated with a PHD from an Ivy League School, formed a band which has released more than a demo (although I think some might have), written a few research publications - have an exquisite talent or hobby.

Most people here, from what I read, are a bunch of students with little or nothing to show for. I read alot of what Prozak has to say and disagree with as much as I agree with (besides the whinery) .
