Whatever Nietzsche may have thought, is of no consequence to me, although I have heard he was a consummately clever chap.
I have discovered that it is, indeed, possible to stop time.
What I do not know is the process by which this is possible, or even if there is a process to it.
Probably the removal of process is what allows it to manifest. Emergencies are good for this.
Time can be stopped, or perhaps suspended.
I see this as the real meaning of the idea of immortality.
When a moment can become eternal, what else could you call it?

Deer sometimes turn up dead. For no apparent reason. They lie down and never wake up again.
People have difficulty accepting this may happen to them, too.

Stopping time!
There's a concept that I subscribe to. I would be dead, several times over, had I not been able to do this.

I've often been called a Troll. I never knew why, and felt outraged at this.
But after reading this thread I feel honoured to have been so honoured.

I am a Troll, foll-de-roll,
I am a Troll, foll-de-roll,
I am a Troll, foll-de-roll,
With my words, your illusions, I'll scupper!

Do you feel that genes are a straitjacket? A jail cell from which there can be no escape?
Is it possible a man may evolve himself to be more than the genes he started with?
For example: a man may learn much, from others. This may be the sum of all that man will ever know.
But are there not men who may use what they have learned as a launchpad from which to attain heights far beyond that prior learning?
This is 'thought', is it not? As opposed to parroting.
A few men are able to think.
And having this ability, are they not able to transcend the known, and begin to plumb the unknown?
And in so doing, be able, possibly, to transcend thought, altogether, and enter the realm of...

The notion of 'equality' is a self-degrading concept.
If everyone has it, what value can it possibly have?

So do it. It is eminently possible, although it will involve actually leaving the city and physically inhabiting a strange and unfamiliar place.
Finding that place can be an incredible challenge, all by itself.
I left England, at 18, and disappeared into the British Columbia forests. I was there for two years, living completely off the land.
It is not an easy or a comfortable existence (:>
But it can be done.

I've single-handed a rotting plywood trimaran across the Pacific, for months on end.
Lived in deserts, and on sea-shores. Alone and as poor as any man in history. I'm still not dead.

Currently I own a small forest, and have a loving wife, where honesty and honour rule.
Don't ruin your life by trying to make something unworkable work.
Find something that does work.
This life you have, is the one that counts.
At least, while you're still able to live it!

Nice one, conservationist.
I only joined this forum to say that.
Whatever 'death metal' is. Or 'black metal' :)
