Interzone / Re: Society is hardest on young women

I know someone who is a perfect example of the pointless tattoo guy we all surely know sometime in our lives, I always got the response of "just cuz its cool LOL" or some other poignant comment about how it made him appear. His behavior all throughout the time that I knew him was that of a person who craves attention and always had to have the most expensive/technologically advanced things to make up for the lack of character and intellect he had.. the typical hipster we all love so much here. So the statements made are invariably true; he is an attention whore. I wholeheartedly agree with what was said.

You call it in inattentiveness and bitterness.  I found it to be more along the lines of ignorance and apathy.  "I don't know and I don't care."

And on that matter, I've always found a persons apathetic behavior to be based upon a matter that involves looking at the bigger picture of sorts, and not understanding or knowing how to solve the issues at hand, thus taking the easy route out and justifying their actions by buying a new plasma screen television from Wal-Mart, Always low prices, Always.

As for ignorance, it all seems to just go hand in hand with believing they aren't part of any problems modern society faces and doing the Christian thing, turning the other cheek to it.

Interzone / Re: The Ineffable Horror of Screamo

Screamo was first introduced in the early 90's, spawning from the end of the hardcore punk era. The newly adopted term is genuinely a crossbreed of "emo" music scenesters with screaming vocals, hence the derivative of its term. Most of this new aged Screamo/metalcore blend is only taken seriously by teenagers who need some kind of trend to follow and remain popular among a group of people. Like previously mentioned in another post; its already at its waning period and will soon be replaced by another pointless trend genre of pop music.
