Canada almost ready for progressive society but racists ruin it for everyone

The Bank of Canada considered celebrating gay marriages, black hockey players, and turban-wearing RCMP officers on its new plastic bank notes — but eventually nixed them all in favour of the more traditional images of a train, a ship and a monument.

Internal documents show that focus groups and a Bank of Canada team reviewed a series of currency images intended in part to reflect the diversity of Canada’s population, particularly the country’s varied ethnic character.

Images that were considered included a Chinese dragon parade, the swearing-in of a new citizen, Toronto’s annual Caribbean festival, children of different ethnic backgrounds playing hockey or building a snowman, and a person in a wheelchair playing basketball.

The images that were finally approved for the reverses of the five new bills — the last two denominations, the $5 and $10, are being released later this year — lack reference to Canada’s diversity of ethnicity, culture and colour.

The final images that were chosen all appear in the original 2008 lists. The $5 note will show robotic arms built for space programs and the $10 note, a train. The $20 note depicts the Vimy Ridge memorial in France, while the $50 has a picture of an icebreaker. The Queen and prime ministers occupy the fronts of the notes.

An earlier, uncirculated version of the $100 note, illustrating the theme of medical innovations, showed a female medical researcher with distinctly Asian features. But later focus groups raised questions about her ethnicity, prompting the bank to erase the Asian features in favour of a Caucasian-looking woman.

Damn you racist Canadians! Damn you all to hell!

There isn't one?

This is scary news. We need to explore space so we can find an alien life form and invite them over to our planet as immigrant workers. We need young people to take care of our elderly! And if there are no young people then we'll have to use aliens! I'm sure that if the aliens have a different culture we can just make some adjustments to accommodate them.

Mourning father describes how free agencies work.

The guy reminds me of Leland Palmer in Twin Peaks.

And the people that relate mind-control to some of these things, the thing is, if there were mind-controlled people or experiments with them gone bad, we would never know and would treat them as criminals, damaged people or wackos as we do with shooters like Cho, etc... The thing is we are currently working and advancing everyday on mind-controll and interactions of mind and matter technology. This is absolutely unquestionable, it is already completely proved. Plus there are some reports from the past that I don't know what to make of, like professional hypnotist controlling a person, including from a distant place, to commit a crime.

They will use their own population for testing biological or chemical weapons.
They will allow attacks on American soil so they can wage illegal wars.
They will spike their colleagues drinks with LSD for fun.
They will orchestrate dramatic events which inevitably call for depriving people of their rights "for their own safety"

I'm not some tin-foiled hat guy, this stuff is real and it deserves your consideration. Whenever things like this happen the real question is: cui bono? (who benefits?) Every time a shooting spree happens it isn't the NRA who benefits, it's the anti-gun nutjobs and bleeding heart liberals. America is going through radical change right now, taking away your guns would be the last step to assure that people won't be able to stop whatever happens next.

Even if it's not a conspiracy then the liberals and grieving bipolar fathers would do good by not looking like vultures ready to feast upon the bodies of slain children. The media would do good by not blaming this on withdrawn shy teenagers who like to relax by playing 3d shooters. If every teen who plays videogames has a mass murderer growing inside them the world would have ended somewhere around 2004. But this is emo porn for the sheeple and it has nothing to do with being rational. And it is this provoking of feelings and clapping for feelings and forced crying in public that makes the conditioning so very obvious. The demand for a "safe society" is obviously part of this conspiracy. Nothing is going be safer when you take away citizens rights to bear arms. All these shootouts, including the one at Sandy Hook, happen in gun free zones where people aren't allowed to carry any weapons already.

I'm probably the only one here who thinks that, like 9/11 and the McJoker movie theater shooting, this is a false flag operation.

In terms of symbolism, this is up there w/ 9/11, maybe even exceeds it.  That's what has people rattled - the symbolism.

Now I could understand forcing junkies and other unsavory types into encampments to quarantine societal rot, but for "bullying gay neighbors"? Gimme a fucking break. I hope they meant physically harassing gay neighbors -- I don't want to get dumped in a ghetto for inadvertently calling someone a "fag".

They mean youths with an immigrant background who gang up on gay people, this isn't Americuddle.

Related, although this happened in Belgium:

"The Brussels Institute of Higher Education University (HUB) is advising its students that "certain groups perceive wearing drag as being provocative," Belgian news site FlandersNews reported."

Read between the lines here. The problem with these sharia fans is that they are the only ones who need sharia law to be controlled. Raping a man because he's crossdressing for a party isn't normal, but in some cultures it is (note that I'm saying culture, not religion)

So the solution is a lot more simple: deport all the gay and in denial muslims to France!

That would be slavery. Why make slaves out of criminals? A good slave is one you can trust. You can't trust criminals.

You can trust those who fear you enough.  If you can't trust criminals, you either aren't hitting them enough, or you should employ them as "guards".

You'd trust someone with your darkest secrets as long as you hit them enough? You'd trust a criminal, not just some backwards villager, but an actual criminal to take care of your children? You'd trust your bodyguard more after beating him? You'd beat a person first and then give him a weapon and say "protect me" ? I doubt this is gonna work in your benefit.

The only thing you can do by using excessive violence and threats is use the slaves for manual labor and make them work themselves to death. But most of that can be done by machines nowadays, and it would be cheaper too (requires less guards) I prefer the "humanitarian" option of abolishing prisons. Imagine being able to brag about your progressiveness to someone from a primitive democracy.

Government to seize television networks

(this would be replaced with maybe 3-4 channels focussing on weather, gardening and practical skills, art history and urgent news articles)

This is the only part I don't understand. Why would you need 3-4 channels just for that? Wouldn't one be enough?

A waste of resources? Well, that's obviously true.
Anyone sufficiently maladjusted to end up in prison must be given no other choice than to contribute to the prison system, by building, maintenance, food-production, and clothing-production.
It's an alternate lifestyle, for those wishing - by their actions - to live it.

That would be slavery. Why make slaves out of criminals? A good slave is one you can trust. You can't trust criminals.

If they committed a terrible crime such as child-rape or murder then execute them. If they committed a minor offense like repeated stealing then banish them from the community/country. No need to keep them in cages like animals and hope their behavior improves, it won't. No need to force them into slavery, they won't be good slaves. Just get rid of them one way or the other.

I agree with Traf here, with the exception of the guy from Striborg. He seems like an interesting fellow - he points out that spending TOO much time alone leads to depression.

Only if you're an extrovert. If you're an introvert you will feel more and more happy as you spend less time with others.

The documentary sure fits the DSBM style: pretentious black and white, retards pretending to have depth, suggestive documentary title so even the biggest moron can understand the concept.

What, are Xasthur or Leviathan actually worthwhile? I always wrote off the entire DSBM scene besides Mutiilation for some reason.

I've never even really considered DSBM to be part of metal, it's pop music if you ask me. No surprise metal got infested with hipsters after the DSBM rage. It has all the ingredients hipsters like: self-centered, self-pity, self-castration...

Interzone / Metal blog commenters more likely to be African-American
« on: October 19, 2012, 07:14:25 AM »
White people are less likely to be gay, according to what could be the largest ever study to calculate America's lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender population (LGBT).

The Gallup survey, released this week, was based on interviews with more than 121,000 people, and showed that 3.4 per cent of adults considered themselves a member of the LGBT community.

According to the survey, conducted between June and September, 4.6 per cent of African-Americans were LGBT, along with four per cent of Hispanics, 4.3 per cent of Asians and 3.2 per cent of Caucasians.

Overall, a third of those identifying as LGBT are non-white, the report said.

Demographer Gary Gates, of the UCLA School of Law's Williams Institute, said: 'Contemporary media often think of LGBT people as disproportionately white, male, urban and pretty wealthy.

'But this data reveals that, relative to the general population, the LGBT population has a larger proportion of non-white people and clearly is not overly wealthy.'

Ah, another media distortion. White men who have been to prison already found this out the hard way.

Not if you're thinking of the title track from Left Hand Path, they don't. The slower part that everyone loves so much is just the theme from Phantasm with a little bit of clichéd '80s metal soloing over the top of it.

Compare the riff after 2:07

to the hook in this song:

Still cracks me up.
