The other half of this study is the "homosexuals favor liberalism and ass-rape" study.

Let me ask a more general question:  why should we even celebrate music, literature or art that operates on the purely human, everyday level at all?  My actual life already operates on that level.  Why do I want to go home at night to read a book or listen to music that duplicates what I just experienced that day??  It's an exercise in redundancy.

I find this incredibly interesting, but what are we talking about exactly?

You make a great observation, that black metal fantasy spilled over into reality.  But how exactly do we incorporate this into the future of metal?  It was all unintentional and incidental, as you say.

In terms of the future of metal, perhaps you can actually look to what Immortal tried to do, which was create this whole world, Blashyrk.  Obviously it was pretty juvenile, but the rudimentary idea is there.  Create a whole mythological world, its stories and its Gods, then make music in tribute to them.  It's both a literary project and a musical project, and why not illustrations too and make it a visual project?

This is what some dude said at NWN:

news is that the new Demoncy has begun in press. The final work to be certain the packaging is all correct for what we want is at hand. The holiday slow down is now over and this should materialize finally sometime in this month of January. Only one last update exists and it will be the final release date for it which we will reveal via our website and registered users with the Forever Plagued Records . com

I don't know how often I can throw on the noodly bullshit of Obsequiae or the power chord chromatic exercises of Apocalypse Command before I throw in the towel and seek out some Mozart.

I don't know how often I can throw on the generic, uninspired bullshit of Cianide before I throw in the towel and seek out audio recordings of Downies humping each other.

I seriously think you have some kind of ideological aversion to talent.

I think in a recent interview conducted with them, they pretty much admitted they had no inspiration for this album.  WELL anyways we can forget about this foul year and get ready for 2012, hopefully it will be a better year for us all(by the being the last).

For a band like Cianide, uninspired means inspired.  Cianide are crude, brutish neanderthals.  It's their whole THING!  To the neanderthal, "inspired" is a word reserved for interpretive dance or ballerinas or some shit.

Budding black-metalists/extremists/radicals/traditionalists/discontents could probably secure their spot in Valhalla by torching a modern art museum (when there's no one inside, of course) or desecrating modern public sculpture.  Modern art, in the Jackson Pollock sense, is symbolic evil par excellence.

Blaspherian's EP was better than this full length.

If I could only pick one album I would take Cianide's over Blaspherian.  A few keg party moments, but Cianide's album was the more unique and took a few more risks than Blaspherian.

Hail to Cianide, the barbarian horde from the midwest!

Total fags, all of you.  Real men play Magic:  The Gathering.

I used to pick on kids who played that. Told 'em they were too pussy for Risk or Stratego.

I will see your Risk and Stratego and raise you a Cribbage and Sheepshead  ;)
