Didn't I just go through this paradox the other day?

Yes but it seems that some people have still difficulty with it.

I'd like a reputable source for the claim that 1 + 1 = 2.

What if I say that 1+1=1

can you figure this out?

When you are in hell, you consume yourself by its fires.
And hate is one definition of hell.

"Breathing, as in meditation, can get to that state that hallucinogens can only hint at.
Who could have guessed it?"

I once knew a person who has said the same thing and who happens to know a lot about spirituality.

I just hope that after the gardening, the result won't be a monoculture of transgenic potatoes.

In a sense this would be like actual life  but right now the majority of people are usually on "drugs"  (TV, politics, ego trip, drugs, gourmet restaurant, etc) so this numb the feeling at least momentarily. But to take the "life choice" would render the drugs ineffective.

Are you saying we have -only- suffering in this eternal life?

Suffering would not be all there is but there would be enough of it to be a "pain in the ass" constantly and you would suffer really badly when not in harmony with god.

If at the moment you read that post, someone proposed you a choice. To live Eternally but with Suffering, a lot of it, or to die for eternity but witout any suffering. What would you choose? Remember, there would be no turning back. And you will have only a day to make a decision. After that, you would have no choice but to consume your choice.

I, for myself would choose life.

I think by the way this would solve our problem of surpopulation.

God is the good in everyone, every object. in everything. To find God, you most find the good in everything.

I think were at a point where the runners of this forum must make their goals clear. Do they wish discussion or do they wish to form of political or activist group?
If they want an activist group, they must post a statement where they explain the ideological principles one must follow to join this forum and accept no dissent views.
The posts will uniquely serve to explain the actions the members most do to the cause. it goes without saying that only people willing and able to act could join the group.

I always thought good forums were places were you can learn from each others. You post an idea, others react to it, make commentaries and then everyone ponder about it and maybe their mind can evolve for the better if necessary. Instead of writing ideas, it was pictural "ideas". I was too much idealistic here.

That and celebration of beauty. Maybe there's no users good enough, skillful enough to bring it here. Well, too bad.
Maybe because people here take to much time trying to calculate how high their IQ is and try to much not being autistic so they kill their spontaneity down the road.
We will have a word with big heads, big brains but no hearts.

To the one 's who call other autistic,  I really wonder what type of art your heart can really come out.
The funny think about it is that it come from a site who worship bands like Ildjarn, Burzum, Absurd. They are surely great and totally normal minds, and surely they  have no "problems" of any sort in their minds.

I'm a weirdo myself. If you don't want me there, say it once and for all. I swear I will never bother you here no more.

"But it taste so good" must have said Eve while eating the fruit.

And all was lost for the taste of pleasure.

truth is like water. you can't  grasp it with your hands. You can bottle it up but It will stagnate and become rancid. Truth must always go freely in the world.

Art as a hobby is fine. Art as a career is useless.

Art is more than a hobby. I see it as a door to the spiritual. At least, good art should do that. What is bad to make art as a career? All of the greatest artists from the antiquity to the XIXe did art as a career. It's the capitalism, the lack of culture and spiritual drive who damaged the artistic world, not having a career out of it. Artists like bards, tragedians, were the ciment of ancient societies.

I would go as far as saying that we need more artists to go professional. But good ones. By doing so, there will be a chance where there's more great architecture, music, theater, movies, etc. By always remaining in the underground, the society will  always remain rotten.

what some people don't like about the jews or the zionists is that they are hypocritical. On one side, they want a jewish state, but on the other, they dillute the nations of others.
That and also that "They know how to work through the system, how to lobby, how to advocate. The Jewish community has a lot of experience and a lot of power." What a way to treat their hosts. They sure make no friends with that attitude. And attitude that have contributed to the rise of the Nazis amongst other things.

But it's stupid to blame them for all our problems. They have a part in it but the situation is much more complex then that.
I think all of the communities must stop putting their head in the sand before another civil war get started.
