Someone should submit that picture of dead's suicide to a kurt cobain lookalike contest.

If that's the case, consider this. You aren't ever coming back to this little planet again. Enjoy the splendor, grow, learn what you can. If you do encounter the chance for love in a greater existence, you will at the very least have firsthand knowledge. That way you aren't running into things screaming duh what the fuck!

I suppose you recreate through spores then? I'm done entertaining this absurd fantasy.
Honestly, when I read that, it means he is undesireable to women and has declared that they are of no use to him. The easier underman route to take instead of improving yourself.
I think Spectrum is just joking around. He is kind of a trickster!
If thats the case. Rad dad. I haven't been posting here long enough.

You don't have to take pleasure in the modern world to reap the benefits of existence. You can cultivate a relationship that would exist in any age. It just takes time as any thing of greatness will. The modern world is a challenge to overcome, just like anything else. To fail or to hide from the challenge is weakness. The people on this site (should, I hope) know better than stoop to defeatism. CONQUER!
I would agree in many contexts with what you're saying. In the context of romantic relationships, however, in my view it's extremely time-consuming, tedious and sometimes impossible to cultivate a serious relationship in which you work to fundamentally change the other person's inner-most philosophy. A mentoring relationship can also be a romantic one, but it's very tricky.
Honestly, it completely depends on who you are and who you are with. Know exactly what you are looking for and find someone who wants the same thing. We call that dating.

« on: September 20, 2011, 04:21:22 AM »The only trick needed is to set up society where the survival is actually a challenge. Intelligence can be improved.
Assumption: increased challenge to survivability results on average in a higher level of intelligence (and other virtues).
Beneficial: find ways to artificially control for survival situations which most profit these high characters.
Hey, we went from straw huts to splitting the atom somehow. Best guess, competition. The demise of the slackers, the incompetent and the druggies will be of their own doing. A beautiful thing. Crush the skulls of the selfish, the pedophiles, the thiefs and the feminists against an obsidian monolith which is to be built at the heart of every town.

What illusions of the current world are you talking about? The "hollywood" created image of what a relationship should be? The expectations we push onto each other? Those things are easy to purge. It's also easy to find women who do not follow that bullshit.

It's said you can't run before you walk. In my view people shouldn't be getting into relationships, because people are ignorant and don't love themselves, and end up losing themselves in the other person as well as restricting the other person's freedom by being attached. Maybe humanity has become skilled in the art of manufacturing microprocessors but I don't think we're ready for romantic relationships. The human being disgusts me so much, it would take someone very special for me to be with in a relationship that's more than just physical, and the physical is so much nicer when it's accompanied with something more. I'm surprised so many of you who so denounce the modern world find it so easy to have your romantic needs met within it, as though it weren't necessarily to find your philosophical core reflected in the other person in a true relationship. If she misbehaves, anal is acceptable punishment. If you find out she already enjoys anal, congrats, you've bagged yourself a whore. Good day.
What a terribly, terribly witty comment.

Anyone who thinks monogamy means bountiful sex has never talked to a married couple
What's your recommendation?
Keep it fresh. Next time there is a good thunderstorm (rain is a must), take her up to the tallest mountain in your area, find a good rock which overlooks the valley, bend her over it so you both face it and mount that ship as she sails off into valhalla.

True. The trick is to have constitution that never permits them basic rights.
The only trick needed is to set up society where the survival is actually a challenge. Intelligence can be improved. Adapt, prosper or perish. Simple as that. Keep all ordinary citizens from having any political power and let them focus on doing their damned jobs.

Chasm / Re: support diversity....
« on: September 20, 2011, 01:12:07 AM »Doesn't technology play a role in all of this? When humanity reaches type 1 civilization it would seem that race would be arbitrary. Instead of many races adapted to different earth environments, we could have all of humanity adapted to the entire planet. That would truly be a planet of "Terrans" or "Earthlings" which sounds like a name of a civilization ready to colonize the galaxy. Identifying with "Europe" or "Asia" is limiting our consciousness to one planet and we must strip away this tribal mentality. We are simply in a tense period of globalization when people are still weary of outsiders, which will eventually go away after enough heterogeneity and miscegenation.
Talk to me when we can do more than look at other galaxies. Following the news as little as I do, it appears globalism is eroding.
Actually, talk to me when we can unite the globe under one common value system. So far, the only thing which keeps a multicultural or multiracial society together is consumerism and that only works while things are "good" if you catch my meaning.

Why?
When you meet a man who is pure Chinese in blood, a thick English accent is the last thing you expect.
