Metal / Re: Albums you used to bother with
« on: September 06, 2012, 11:52:14 PM »
So what albums did you get rid of?
I have thought about getting rid of a couple of my Inquisition albums but their newer album seems to be good material for when I have females over. I guess from a production stand point its quite good and the riffs are really memorable and it's easy listening.
Other than that, a couple of albums i don't "bother" with are the Blaspherian and Averse Sefira titles. I just do not gather any special from their music, I guess it is a good thing I never purchased anything from them.

Hey my wishes came true!, this has been released once again on vinyl. It is a bootleg but an exact replica of the first issue on Cogumelo Records. It had been a little while since I last heard this, I can't wait to give it a spin! I'll let you all know how to boot sounds.

Metal / Re: Buying CDs
« on: May 11, 2012, 02:14:36 AM »Deleting mp3s off my computer once I've bought the physical version is weirdly satisfying, it's like culling the old weaker version to make way for the new age.
I feel the exact same way. I feel like the more I delete the closer i am to completing my music collection! Of course it seems to keep growing weekly so this has turned into a bit of an addiction!

When it comes down to it for me its either MP3 or Vinyl.
If i'm on the go(biking, walking, or driving) i have my mp3 player.
If i'm at home its vinyl 100% of the time.
Regarding reissues... There are some out there that are just of horrendous quality. Not too long ago I bought Beneath The Remains LP and it sounded so flat and weak i had to have my speakers full blast for it to be listenable. Needless to say i chucked that piece of crap, actually i traded it in, along with Spiritual Healing for KREATOR - ENDLESS PAIN, banzai issue. FUCKING PHENOMENAL SOUND!!!!. That Kreator album rules on vinyl!! Mp3 and Cd versions sound weak in comparison.
Whichever you prefer though, it all boils down to the quality of the speakers/sound system.

« on: April 14, 2012, 03:18:27 PM »I like this album a lot. It's like King Kong and Godzilla and bunch of other monsters fighting each other in the middle of a city resulting in maximum collateral damage.
Thanks for that awesome visual! that is pretty good hahahah.
I love the super chunky sound the guitars have on this album, and Mike Perun's voice sounds as monstrous as ever.

I think this album is due for a vinyl reissue... and not some ridiculous triple, colored Lp bullshit like they did for Cianide's - A descent into hell, what a waste.

I have been blasting Gods of Death! It has just been hittin' the spot for me this last week or so.
Also Deceased's new album has been in heavy rotation these days
I guess 2011 was not that bad of a year after all.

I really like Mystic Places of Dawn, there is a lot of great ideas on that album, its definitely worth your time if you enjoyed Ophidian Wheel. I have been meaning to give their latest a "try" at least but i fear it is probably just Dimmu style garbage. Anyways.. check out their first album.

Damn im getting NAILED for my Goreaphobia commments!
Maybe Mall Metal was a bit out of line. I actually looked into listening to some of their older material, one of the singles actually. Very dark and cryptic atmosphere, still nothing fantastic but far more interesting than their full lengths. The vocals are really quite terrible and there is just a general lack of dooming, crushing power coming from their instruments. I don't know, i just think this band is mediocre compared to most bands that get praise around here.
