I dont take pride in the # of albums i have, thats a bit strange.  I can understand why some people dont pay for music because really, you dont have to.  Still i couldnt imagine not having any CD's or Vinyls, I like to look through all of them once in awhile, opening gatefolds and checking out booklet artwork.

Venom has some great songs, always fun to headbang to and throw on ocasionally.  But they are mediocre, i think their only album that is good front to back is Black Metal, thats it, and the BloodLust single.

Now back to the topic of disscussion here.  I have never heard Infester before, i  just downloaded it to see what all this fuss is about.  It sounds great, i wouldnt even consider this "bad" production.  For me its albums like Forest Poetry i have a hard time with,  that extremely trebly tablesaw sound.  I still recognize the beauty it holds though and i wouldnt cut down Ildjarn for not having some better production. It is what It is.

I touched Salvia once, and it was extract, my fuck did that smash my head in. i went into birds eye view watching myself run through a city(???) like a game of frogger, meanwhile the sun was my girlfriend's face yabbering nonsense to me.  Way to extreme of a high for me, ill have to try this "chewing" of some leaf, not powdered extract..

I like venom because they prance around in skimpy leather outfits, its all about presentation.

thats a bummer they degrade so fast.  You probably know about this but i was looking online at record players and they have these ones that read the vinyl through a laser rather than needle. too bad they are $10,000+

i havent really gotten into the whole picture disc thing yet... they just have terrible sound, and if i was buying for the picture, i would rather have posters. My personal opinion.

I want those Morbid Angel LPS!! i have been trying to track those down, only for the MA fanatics!  I also just missed out on a re-release of Bathory's first, on grey vinyl.  i think primitive reaction still has some DDTM LPS for sale, might be pricey but its a CLASSIC.

Hey i just wanted to know just how many of you collect CD's/Vinyls/Tapes.  The reason i ask is i read alot of people saying :

" deleted this one"
"downloaded that one"
"Downloaded their full discography"

Do alot of you just download for free or pay for the albums and then download??
Personally i use downloading only to see if the album/band is good, and if it is i get it on Vinyl(First priority) if it wasnt released on vinyl i go for CD and then tapes. If you are vinyl enthusiast which is your most prized record??

For me, ALL of Beherits records.

To me, War Cult Supremacy would be "sublime" black metal. It invokes a sense of eternity and the infinite that becomes very clear after many many listens. I don't think that anything on the current list needs to be replaced though, all are total classics, I just think more people should search for that kind of mind set when listening to the album. It's easy to just think of it as standard fare blasphemous/chaotic black metal, but in actuality it is an extrodinaraly intelligent pice of music, totally stunning in it's composition.

I dont throw on War Cult Supremacy and think im listening to some low brow music by any means.  I agree with your desciption of the music 100% i just dont get the same feelings from the listed works under Sublime that i do with Primitive.  I would say it is up for interpretation.
