Metal / Re: What seperates good metal from the rest?

This article doesn`t really state anything new and seems nothing more than sensational and pandering to a certain demographic in nature.

I don't like the aesthetics of manga (huge eyes, hair that blows in the wind even when the character is inside, schoolgirls with huge breasts, all those clichés) The drawing style strikes me as rather childish.

I thought that was a particular style exclusive to anime, or Japanese animation. Does manga from other countries in other parts of the world adopt this aesthetic too?

Most anime is just an animated adaption of manga, so the aesthetically it is pretty much the same. As much as I have seen there is a lot more aesthetic variation between different genres.

How do we solve this attention seeking, extroverted narcissist question?

Answer: Throw all celebrities into the grinder.

I consider style to be an aesthetic and to some degree a compositional distinction.

I wouldn`t consider rehashing riffs and beats for example as so much a stylistic distinction as a structural one.

A friend once said to me: "I don't think ARE YOU TALKIN TO ME? ever had a style, they just wanted to play."

I always knew there was something of value in that statement. Inquisition is much like Burzum rather than ARE YOU TALKIN TO ME?, in that Burzum is one of the best examples in metal of completely lacking a "style" or condensing your career into a predictable format. Inquisition plays out very much the same way. This is something I love about them in that they're diverse and there's variety in the music. Definitely one of the, if not the best concurrent act playing today.

I hope www.deathmetal.org will endorse them.

I don`t understand exactly what you and your friend mean by this "style". I find that most rock music, including metal and its derivatives has a certain "style", or another. Metal bands usually adopt a certain style and deviations from that style will mostly end in a failure.

Having quit nicotine just recently, I can say it is the hardest for the next several days after. I went through several different forms of ingesting nicotine, which can lessen the craving of for example smoking. Make of that what you will.

There is a positive side to nicotine depravation also, it creates a state of heightened aggression.

I never got the irrational fear of reptiles, they are quite passive, unless threatened.

Our prisoner population can largely fuck off the planet. Murderers, thieves, rapists, money launderers as the sort. Rehabilitation is an illusion of humanism.

They could always be set free. All the murderers and thieves can do the dirty work through cleansing the streets, just remember to sterilize before setting them free.

I can't take a band who includes a coke party in their video seriously.

That is something I would of expeced from Satyricon actually.Overall it is top grade Nancy boy melodramatic metal symphony. Can`t really say anything bad, except these bands usually lack symphonies.

Inquisition doesn`t seem to get enough notice here, having carved a sound that can be easily distinguished from the rest of the modern metal ilk. This should itself be noteworthy at a moment when most metal either emulates the past in form and/or structure, or just churns out indie carnival music.

I would also argue that Mgła has been highly consistent, but so far its mainly been disregarded as rock music.

Large African Cock:

The effects are subtle but definitely present. I felt an elevation in mood, alertness and a feeling of deep peacefulness. I think this could function as a good replacement for pharmaceutical anti-depressants.

There is nothing better than a dose of AIDS to keep someone from getting depressed.

Quality is held up by standards, without them everything stagnates, or even worse devolves to cater to the lowest common denominator. Euronymous had the right idea in those regards.

Metal can be quite feminized, ITNE is a grandiose example of that.
