I've given you too much attention already and I'm not going to respond to your mincing, subjective arguments. You're a joke and so is your label.

Just to clarify, while I don't consider many of the bands relevant but I'm indicting the label, not the bands.

What happens when some bands behave in a way that makes trying to do this even harder, bands who don't reply to emails or bands who agree then decide not too. I mean, quite frankly you may have your own opinions about it, but this is a strong line up with the exception of two songs everything else is brand new. It will be nearly 80 minutes of music from the USBM scene, if you think you can do better, put your money where your mouth is Helix. And to say that Inquisition is an "also ran " or "never will be" as well as others, its your opinion at the end of the day until you can do just as good.

Inquisition is trend garbage, always has been. And Cyncial you're right about Leviathan too.

Mr. Killzone, if you wanted to "show everyone" that there are good USBM bands then why didn't you invite some of them on the comp? And you're suggesting that because I don't waste time putting out yet another shitty and random comp full of bands nobody would (or should) care about then my opinion isn't valid? On the contrary, I'm not a scenester who sucks up to bands in an attempt to make myself feel important. I like this music and that's more than enough. Your presence in the scene (particularly the Texas scene) is an afterthought at best. I'm all the way up here in Dallas but I still find you being here really obnoxious. Pack up and go home to England where mediocrity is accepted without question, you'll be much happier, and hey maybe you'll find yourself a nice boyfriend! "Cheers"!

Demoncy is farily good live, and their early work is of course quite good.

Thus Defiled... did anyone ever care about this band?

Catholicon - don't know the music, just the name.

Vesperian Sorrow - think Dimmu Borgir, except very openly gay.

Maelstrom - never heard or seen them, but apparently they are crusty punk wiggers who play Dissection-styled pap.

If anything, I'd avoid this show on account of those Killzone Records tools. I have heard they are the typical fly-by-night, "hey lookit me" types who pull together random line-ups like this to try and feel like they're important. Glad to see nobody else here is impressed.

What a lovely collection of also-rans and never-will-be's! Outside of Krieg, Bahimiron, and Leviathan, (no, late model Demoncy is lame too) you've got yourself a shitpot of a comp!

Too bad Krisiun never wrote a new album since "Black Force Domain"...

No. That argument is non-sequitur. If you don't like it that's fine, but you fail to make a convincing case.

Anyone who wants to decide for themselves, mp3s are here:

Again, I don't think it will turn the world upside down, but it's worth a listen.

No, it's terrible.

I wouldn't dismiss it as such. It's not to everyone's taste I wouldnt imagine, but I actually think it is a refreshing change to what he's been doing with Nile as of late.

Recommending Zyklon over Hate Eternal is like recommending cancer over AIDS. Both bands are moronic.

Actually, the Nile "In the Beginning" CD is quite good- easily the most listenable thing they ever did. I personally am a fan of "Catacombs of Nephran-Ka" and "Black Seeds of Vengeance" as well, but avoid "In Their Darkened Shrines" and anything forthcoming. Once their original lineup dissolved in 2001 it was all over.

Hate Eternal is moron bait, Immolation is definitely the best choice for "brutal" death metal, period.
