I started composing some stuff last year under the name Hiemal. Most of the stuff is inspired by Troglodytic's 2004 promo and Sorcier des Glaces snowland.

Metal / Re: Refreshing Metal Albums

"Ulcerate - Everything is Fire
Imagine Immolation, Gorguts and late era Deathspell Omega tag teaming the universe and you pretty much got the idea of this album.
A simply breathtaking masterpiece featuring near perfect production"
Holy shit someone else knows this stuff.
I discovered them on the net about a month ago and got their album.
I am a big fan of Obscura by Gorguts and when I heard this,I knew it was good.
A good thing is they come from my country! Finally A NewZealand band that isnt metalcore or rock music.
It is a good refreshing ablum for all those Deathmetal and Tech death fans.
Enjoy.

Chasm / Re: Archaic video games

I think one of the best games i have ever played was one called Unreal World.
"Unreal is a unique graphical roguelike RPG taking place in ancient Finland during the late Iron Age.
It brings you a realistic game world rich with historical atmosphere in which northern folklore, knowledge and way of life play an important part."
You can hunt, trade and dont hve to do anything else. Its a good game to sit back and relax with.
Another great old game is a ASCII game called ADOM(Ancient Domains of Mystry) A dungons and dragons style of game that is massive and hard.
Other games that i value would be Shadow of the Collosus, the Metal Gear Solid series and The Elder Scrolls series.
Most games are bad, i agree with that, but some games are telling a great story.
The rest are just trying to make lots of money.

I got INTJ.
67 75 88 33
Reading about this I found a lot of similar things between my self and the INTJ type. It explains why I'm good at creating solutions to problems and developing ideas. Even if these test are not always right it makes me think about how I act and how I look at situations.

I'm about to leave school and are having problems choosing a career path. I agree that a job as a computer programmer would be good or a web designer, maybe a job in digital multimedia.
Those jobs are very relaxed and you can express your creativity which is something I enjoy.

What More Celt Then Sassenach said is what i was trying to get at. you could not tell me that you think Demilich, Gorguts and Atheist are boring protest music.
But the writer of the blog does not mention it was good.

Back to the topic....
In the original posting the quote really understates
the importance of Deathmetal.
Saying it became "protest music" is not the way i would explain it. The writer most likely does not know anything about the genre.
