i should also add that they had great lyrics too:

Let the day begin, Let the horror start
Let the fury swell, Let the skies all cry, Let the day begin
Let the fun begin, Let the worlds collide
Let the day begin, Let humanity spin, Let the day begin
Inherent time is at hand, So then let the day begin
Nomadic waltz into light, So then let the day begin
Let the world stand bare, Let it stand on trial
Let it open up, Let the tides explode, Let the day begin
Let the Jews all scream, Let the Catholics burn
Let the Protestants hide, Let the false ones wallow in their own demise
Let the fun begin, Let the worlds collide
Let the day begin, Let humanity spin, Let the day begin
Inherent time is at hand, So then let the day begin
Nomadic waltz on into light, So then let the day begin
Inherent time is at hand, So then let the day begin
Nomadic waltz on into light, So then let the day begin
Inherent time is at hand, So then let the day begin
Nomadic waltz into light, So then let the day begin
And the earth stands stripped and its imminent rape
Let them get their due, Let them feel the pain that they gave to you
Let the day begin, Let the horror start
Let the fury swell, Let the skies all cry, Let the day begin
Inherent time is at hand, So then let the day begin
Nomadic waltz into light, So then let the day begin
Inherent time is at hand, So then let the day begin
Nomadic waltz into light, So then let the day begin

i love this friggin' band.

samhain was great because the veered away from Ramones like poppy punk rock like early misfits recordings and went for a strange mix of original industrial.

i didn't like devil's whorehouse because for one, i could name plenty of things in their music that samhain and danzig were doing in the 80s and early 90s.

mp3s didn't work.

for mexican metal, i'll stick with some of the older bands:

Shub Niggurath

Cenotaph

The Chasm

Serpens Aeon is pretty cool, i like some of their guitar work. Check them out.

( Yeah, and now maybe people will realize that these guitars JUST FUCKING BLOW. )

don't like em either. i'd rather use a les paul for a warm clean sound.

I have always felt that Sandoval had a unique ability to "mimic" the riffing with his fills and rhythms.

He constantly uses the same techniques but i have no complaints unlike a few death metal drummers i know who criticize him for that.

Whether it is a simple style like Fenriz or technical like Sandoval or the fellow from abigor's nacht.. album, groups with talented drummers usually give their music an extra boost.

Sagan was respectable, although his "science will save us" is a bit shortsighted. Comparable are Michael Crichton and Steven Hawking: both have similar failings.

i doubt carl sagan's science will save "us" when there are too many that refuse to learn anything. must suck to be them. i admire sagan for his charisma and intelligence. he made it possible for all moms and pops out there to get a fair understanding of who we are as a species and our planet in which "we float like a mote of dust in the morning sky" when his program first aired two decades ago.

Covenant is lyrically genius because it gave many a sense of rebirth for intellectual elitism within the death metal genre.

Also, have you heard how percise the drumming is? It is uncannily parallel with the guitars. Superb.

currently psychology.

college is a waste of time in my opinion.  nothing like college to show you just how purposeless life is.

Funny. I thought high school was a waste of time. Class of '04 had an incredible amount of Mexicans, i mean...drop outs. We even made it into the newspaper for fuck's sake...Never in my entire life have i felt more shame for my Hispanic community. If our society was wise enough, they would at some point round them up like cattle, throw them into pits, and torch 'em. But there is just one problem. You can't do that. Someone will get offended. SIGH.

Overall, college is going good . I met some really cool people who are actually excited about life. I'll be majoring in astronomy and will pursue......fuck. i'm not too sure about a career yet. There are a few options i'm considering.

But anyway, quit whining about college. Suck it up.
Work your way around the obstacles.

This review is sometimes a bit talky, but I think he makes good points:

the review is funny and brief..

he acknowledges averse sefira's intelligence, which is great. most metal heads in my area never got past jr.high. sigh.
