Even the title track's main riff is so hypnotizing, such a pleasant listen, such a beautiful melody.  I get absorbed into it everytime.

I remember Pit magazine being a halfway enjoyable read, but that was a few years back.  I don't know how it's progressed or regressed since.

There's absolutely nothing racist about any of those albums.  For example, Varg's personal views don't reflect his art.  That's too bad, considering I've won a couple of cool auctions over the years dealing in the BM genre...I guess fuck eGay then...and the PC christians they rode in on!

Here comes the Varg fanboys to flame this post to hell.

No Varg fanboy here, just the plain and simple truth:  Filosofem is a fucking masterpeice of an album!

So now here come the Varg fanboys to flame me when I say this:  "EVERY" Burzum album before it was mediocre at best!

1. Metallica - Metallica
2. Slayer - Divine Intervention
3. Ancient - The Cainian Chronicles
4. Deicide - last four albums
5. Black Sabbath - Never Say Die
6. Iron Maiden - No Prayer for the Dying
7. Dorkthrone - Ravishing Grimness
8. Napalm Death - Words from the Exit Womb
9. Morbid Angel - Domination
10. Nuclear Assault - Out of Order

used also as troll on emo forum

I agree for the most part with this list, although...

Iron Maiden- Somewhere in Time
Napalm Death- Fear, Emptiness, Despair

..and for the record, I too enjoyed "Divine Intervention", it was a good sounding album, very raw and energetic..."Diablaudufj in musakdp" is where it really started getting extremely horrible!

‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin dies
Naturalist, 44, killed by stingray on diving expedition

The eventual error with those so called naturalists honoring a high-paying television contract:  Just continue with the "poking and prodding"...then let's see what happens!

Jesse Pinto-beaner was an asshole!  I remember trying to talk to him before their set a few tours back, and he wouldn't give me the time of day.  Maybe I wasn't a cool-enough type for him.  Barney, on the other hand, is a very cool person to have a conversation with.  I remember back on the "Harmony Corruption" tour when I happened to be sitting in my car drinking a beer in the parking lot next to the venue they were set to play in, and he came out of nowhere and offered me a Napalm Death pin through my driver's side window.  Then we got to talking, and a few minutes later he offered to give me a blow job in my backseat of my car, but that's where I had to draw the line between fan-appreciation and outright faggotry.

One thing I find quite funny with this album is Ain Elohim. Anybody with some very basic knowledge of hebrew is in danger of laughter to death of asphyxy while listening to it, because if you want to say in hebrew "There is no God" it sounds "Ein Elohim". "Ain Elohim" as heard in the song means "Ain is god".  :-/ But perhaps it has been done on purpose... Cheers.  ;D

Towards the very end of the song "Inner Sanctum" from ITP...Warrior's voice echoes the phrase:  "Martin Ain"...I believe that even CF use humor sporatically.

Metal / Re: Art Vs. Entertainment

Well the "egg vs. chicken" was indeed a metaphor...but obviously art came first...how else would one be entertained then?

As for the whole "art vs. entertainment" issue...I thought I would bring this up for a discussion, simply because I believe the two totally co-exist with one another.  Some here would argue that art is more important, I would tend to agree.  But I'm also one who likes to be entertained.

So for starters...what would the band "Gwar" be considered?

Okay, here we go again:  The age-old question:  "What came first, the chicken or the egg?"
