What are you?

What is man, that thou art mindful of him?
I wonder: do you have any purpose beyond exalting your own sense of self-worth on the internet?  Do you crave anything beyond the attention of others?  Is it wisdom you seek?  Do you hope to teach?  Or is it all just a good excuse to listen to your own voice?

I remain amazed at the way people assign their own 'qualities' to others, as if those others were identical to themselves.
As if what motivates them, motivates everyone.
As if their values are those of everyone.
Yet self-styled 'individuals', to a man.

I crave nothing at all. I have no cravings.
I seek no wisdom, for I know wisdom.
I seek not to teach, for what is there to know?
Do I seek to listen to my own voice?

Here's the secret, young men. Here's what you don't yet know:
You assume anybody does anything in order to gain something from what they do.
Because that is what you do.
You assume the sole motivation for everything, is to 'get' something for yourself.
And this is not true.

I flit from blog to forum, here to there, not to take, but to give.
I can do this because there is nothing I need, and because I have something to offer.
I say 'offer', because that is all anyone can do.
Someone, somewhere, will snap it up. Somebody always does.
While the hordes of drones ridicule, insult and destroy, because that is all they know, yet, how to do.

Why am I here? To contribute.
Why are you here?

What am I?
It's a mystery and I intend to keep it that way because to know it would only limit the boundaries of my soul. And to do it would be to rape the veil of the absolute, thus corrupting it. Something I don't want to do.
Why I am here? Destiny drove me here for all I know.
