I haven't seen this band discussed here. They are situated in a genre of which many members may disprove (somewhere between 'post-metal' and 'sludge'), but I find that the music escapes both of these potential ruts. Morne is a Boston-based band with a lot of atmosphere, occasional groove, but with tighter compositions and some rather fulfilling tracks. Their songs tend to be lengthy, to be sure, but the meandering is kept to a minimum, and the various instrumentation is all held in check.
Here are a few examples:

The Mastodonian vocals (particularly in "To Rust") may be a turn-off for some, but I find that they function well in this context. Having seen the recent Neurosis thread (I agree with many that their music doesn't quite reach the pinnacle I wish it did) and given on Beherit's new release (which is exquisite), I thought this might be a good time for discussion.
Any thoughts?
