Well if you know Godflesh you probably needn't bother with the rest, though some of them are pretty cool if the mood permits it. Then again I don't know if Godflesh would even pass as 'industrial', more like 'ambient industrial doom metal' or something like that.

Ice Ages is actually one of the better industrial/darkwave acts I've come across. The songs have a really well thought out structure and the albums are good in their entirety, other industrial can get a bit stale after a few tracks. The best Ice Ages album is This Killing Emptiness. But hopefully there will be a new album soon.

Unfortunately this is true of most industrial. Especially coming from a metal or classical perspective, the songs are structurally very limited (and worse still over the expanse of an album). Still there are some cool ideas to be found in the genre, perhaps more so as atmosphere or sound texture.

Of particular note, Beherit - Electric Doom Synthesis blended some of this suffocating mechanical atmosphere of industrial with black metal, ambient and (?) ritual-dub . Most people either love that album or respect it for being alone in it's ambitious creative potential. It's not been matched though.

A lot of modern EBM industrial is too predictable to be very exciting - hardly ever deviates from the basic verse/chorus structure. VNV Nation has stronger melodies but weak vocals. Some older groups, especially Skinny Puppy, had a more organic sound.
